well we are on team yellow
the little blighter had its legs crossed the whole time, i am a bit dissapointed but obviously ment to be, just gotta tell my 8 yr old who is desperate to know:(:(:( that he cant
I'm sure you'll get used to team yellow... it just means you'll have a lovely surprise;):D I can understand the dissapointment:(
I've warned DH that there's a possibilty bean will cross his legs at the 20 week scan! He's still convinced bean is a girl and I the sooner I can say "haha you're wrong" the better!;):p:rotfl:BLOWINGBUBBLES:kisses2: SMARTIE120 -

I want that baby! Such a cutie.0 -
Thanks all for advice re birthing partner.
My mum lives 300 miles away and although she's booked two weeks off from my due date I'd rather have her around to help with baby when hes here rather than fussing waiting around for his appearence iyswim...
Plus because she works in ICU, and has done for 25 years she's a bit more aware of certain things, so I dont want her in the room moaning about what the nurses are doing because thats not how they do it on her dept etc.....
I dont have any close friends here either, in short I dont actually know anyone here, apart from my sister and her partner, and DH....
I think student midwife might be the way to go, and Im quite interested to help someone out and I guess they stay with you longer than a qualified midwife whose got others ladies to check on.....
Big vibes to anyone who needs them.... xxWealth is not measured by currency0 -
Hi all just popping in before I go home! Not been online much today coz although theres very little to do at work, I've found its taking all of my energy atm:o I'm feeling decidedly green too....figured out its deffo ms:) So just keep reciting my new matra *I will not complain, I will not complain.....*
Not heard anything from midwife yet which has me on edge! Not a clue why coz if it was happening to someone I'd tell them to chill out a bit:o:o I think I'm too impatient:p:D

I found drinking cola slowly through a straw was about the only thing that worked for my nausea. Tried ginger, mint and all manner of other things but that was it for me!! Don't normally drink fizzy at all but I reckon whatever does the trick when feeling really rough.
Booking in appointments are at 9 weeks round here (don't know if thats the same everywhere) and they're not always good at giving much notice. Likewise I got my 12 wk scan appointment at 11+3!
Oh and I forgot to say welcome to the newbies!:heart2: Mumma to DD 13yrs, DD 11yrs & DS 3 yrs. :heart2:0 -
Hi all.
Just a quick one as I'm on my iPod
welcome to mrs rc (I think that was your name??) lol
been out all daymy hips were bloody hurting but otherwise I was great
we got baby her bridesmaid dress from mothercare and also a little suit. It's buy 1get 1 half price on sale items
Got measured for nursing bra, so... Pre pregnancy I'm a 36dd, at 20ish weeks they measure me to be a 40dd which was far to big on my back. And today at 39 weeks I'm apparently a 42d!! So I questioned her and said it was wrong and she got me a 42dd to try on which was loose on my back and a perfect fit on my boobs, so I will measure myself later instead lol.
OH is currently putting up the play pen
It's very cool lol.0 -
Oooh I've had my chocolate fix now, tesco chocolate buttons
And the car is all clean and sparkley (shame about the big hole in the bumper..oops). Can put the mirror in there now so can see bubs when driving.
confuzzled - poor you ms must be awful, only had a few queezy days and that was it really, hope it doesnt stay about too long. Hope the MW gets intouch soon too.
ymake - very cute baby, think its the smile.
LMF - at least your conserving energy for when bubs does show up, someone on TV today said that being in labour can burn as much a 2000 calories per hour!!! Baby has moved a couple more times now but is still alot more lethargic than norm, will see how we get on tomorrow, may call triage if not.
freebie - sounds like your being sensible with those nappies if your expecting a big bubs.Baby :female: Tahlie Lois born 15/3/10 7lb 12 oz :heartpulsWorking on baby no2
