Ta, she did say if I start to measure off the chart she will send me back for another growth scan and I have this form to read through about potential risks but she seems so pro for me to get to stay at home and I thought after all the faffing over thyroids and bubbas size I didn't have much hope so really happy. :)

    Thanks Somnium!

I see you are already on maternity leave...I have 4 more weeks left at work and am counting down the days!

Sure this has been done already but are there any other baby clubs to join to get vouchers etc? I've joined Tesco and Sainsbury's so far!

Mrs RC - sorry forgot to actually say welcome early, so welcome x

Oooh there are loads, lets see..

Aptimil, Hipp, SMA, cow n gate, even if you dont want to formaula feed they have some good freebies and advive emails. Emmas Diary and Bounty, they give out bags at various stages and have some handy sample and money off vouchers in. Asda, they dont really give out much but you'll get notification when there baby events are coming up. You can sign up to some of the shops too like Mothercare, boots, toys R us, Mama's and papas etc, again you'll get notification of sales and some send out vouchers too.

    hello ladies

1more - sorry you couldn't find sex out. Did scan go ok otherwise?

Mrs RC- welcome, you're due around the same time as me. I'm 31 + 1 today. Very jealous of you only having 4 weeks left. I still have 5 :( I'm trying to get to the end of the financial year so I can put 3 or 4 weeks hol in before actual mat leave starts but I'm so tempted to finish earlier and just take all the holiday afterwards.

I've just downloaded the new Boyzone single. It's actually really good (if you like that sort of thing obv :)) But feel quite sad listening to it - have avoided all my Boyzone stuff since Stephen died.

Had my first free dental check up today! Everything was fine and she offered to clean my teeth for me to see if that would help with bleeding - wasn't saying no when it was free lol :)

Typically city link tried to deliver a parcel while I was out. Can only think it will be my replacement headboard the cotbed. Pretty amazing service from Mothercare if it is. Going to collect it later when DH gets home as I'm in work next 2 days and too impatient to wait lol

gill_81uk - I am taking all my annual leave in April so maternity leave actually starts on 4 May. I jsut cannot be bothered to commute any more. I am tired and MiniR moves around so much at the mo it is uncomfy!!

I had a free dental check a few weeks ago and the free clean made my gums bleed so much I have to go back next week. Bleeding gums and nose bleeds seem to be my worst pregnancy symptoms so far. That and heartburn...

mini rant.. I know this is gonna sound a lil un grateful but why must my OH spend so much time faffing about cleaning! I know its great that he cleans and alot of men dont, but a) he uses far too much product and it costs a fortune, b) he takes so damn long and c) he cleans things that dont need cleaning!!!! He's just come in from work and started wiping down a perfectly clean sink unit and kitchen top! He does this alot and have asked him not to as it winds me and Im perfectly capable of cleaning, I cleaned both after breakfast and again after lunch so twice, it doesnt need doing again!! So have just blown up on him and now he's just like ok what ever its just cos your pregnant arrgghhh!!!!! he's a clean freak its like some kinda OSD and its getting worse, really cant having him do this when baby is here. It makes me feel so useless.

And yet try getting him to clean the fishtank in the corner that I cant reach! Oh no he couldnt care less about that, and now another two fish have died :( its minging cant wait till I can reach it to clean it again, its really winding me up and the poor fish.

Somnium - this sounds like my OH - although I need to ask him to help withthe cleaning! I once asked him to start in the kitchen and work towards the stairs and I'd start in the bathroom and work down. By the time I had finished the rest of the house he was still in the kitchen...goodness knows what he was doing. I clean the kitchen quite a lot so its not as if it needed a deep clean!!

choccie - hope your DD gets into the school she wants, thanks for the vibes :D

1more - hope the scan goes well and bubs behaves.

mgeb - hey, thanks for popping by x

Kitkat - have tried lots of diff pushchairs in Astras at work and generally they all fit no probs, just depends on how much of your boot you want left!

Kindof - woah thats a helluva list there! dont really have anything to do around our house atm other than putting doen the new rug, hence the boredom! Car does need to be cleaned tho but OH has it at work so maybe take it to Tesco after he gets back. Oh and I dont really like the idea of a 6hr turn around any more either. I did but since my stay before xmas I realised like you Id rather have the help and supoport to hand and be confident when I do go home. Oh and who's Wispa? Hope your mums scan goes ok x

Aless - I started lurking on the PT already due to boredom!

CAFC - I can understand your OH not wanting to be there, I know how squemish my OH is and have said to him I dont mind if he found it too much, but he really wants to be there for me so have told him he has to sit down next to me when the actual baby shows up. No way I want him passing out! I'd love for my Mum to be ther but like yours she is hours/miles away. Am still really hoping my ex work colleague will be around when I give birth :D The idea to have a student MW sounds good tho.

Well still have the pain under the ribs, and baby is still really quiet which Im finding a lil bit worrying, have only felt one really small movement in the last 13 hours :( hopefully she'll liven up a bit for me soon.

Som my MW said to me last week if i dont feel baby and cant make it move to call them just in case. I would try and see if you can get her to move a bit for you.
Im sure all is fine as mine went very quiet for about 3 days then had 2 days of madness and now quiet again had to do some pokeing today as i didnt feel anything.

    hello all

really tired already this week and its only monday, managed to smash a glass this morning into a million pieces at 6.30am husband heard and came and cleared it up bless him - must have been noisy as our bedroom is on third floor and kitchen on ground, glad he did clean it up and i wouldnt have managed not good in the mornings.

Glad some people have managed to get the £1 nappies i only got one packet but have 5 packs of other brands of size 1 and have started buying sz 2 now - husband weighed 12lb was born at term and I was 7lb born at 35+4 predicted to have been a 10lb baby at term so dont think we will be needing sz 1 for too long and can always buy more if needed.

in case anyone missed my other nappy bargain post aldi have sz 2 nappies 56 pack for £2.99

both asda and aldi nappies are rated highly.
  • kindof: hope mums ok.
