Aaaaah! Bideford;)
I may bump into you in Mothercare or ummmm... bit rubbish for baby shops round here isn't it??:rotfl:
Lol, just a bit. We may have walked or driven past each other at one point and never knew. lol.I keep forgetting to ask the MW about a waterbirth
I had a water birth and it was the best thing I could have done. It helped sooo much with the pain. I didn't want to get out in the end and it was so warm. The red water kind of made me move quickly though. What's yours is mine and what's mine is mine..0 -
I thought this week's OBEM was awesome, much better than last week! And yes that husband needed a good slap, I couldn't believe how unsupportive he was being. I too love the idea of a water birth, one of my main reasons for wanting a HB is that I will be guaranteed to be able to use a birth pool (they don't have that many at my hospital). I was so worried about Sarah's baby when he was born, and all the bits with Lisa made me cry - so glad their baby has made a full recovery! I think i'm a bit addicted...0

Yeah kindof, that's the one
I know they edit stuff to make it worse / better viewing but still!!!
do you not like the MW cos she's a bit posh and over the top? I know what you mean but i thought she was awesome and really supportive and i don't think she would have had that baby naturally without her. although i did love how when she went for a break she went and vented to her colleague, i just think MWs are amazing they must have to put up with so much!!0 -
It sounds like the same one Kindof, that midwife was irritating the hell out of me!! To chirpy and 'matter-of-fact' grrrr lol. And that bloke deserved a good slap! Management degree - pah!:heart2: THANK YOU MARTIN!! :heart2:0

did you watch the one last week with Sam? Now THAT was screaming! i know i'm a rookie but she seemed really pathetic. I thought Sarah was coping quite well tbh with contractions, walking around etc.
i watched an extra video on the OBEM website where they interviewed Sarah and Darren afterwards and Sarah practically bursting into tears talking about how amazing Dominique had been. So i guess it depends on the woman and what she will respond to. i think if someone says all that 'soft face, soft soft face' stuff to me i would get a bit antsy though0 -
Yes, I'm in MK. Everyone on here seems to live in MK! I forgot about the health shop at Tesco. Maybe I'll get Mum to take me there tomorrow. Thanks for that!
i forgot you was in MK guinea, when your MW booked you in for induction , did she tell you to call first before going in , as the consultant at clinic , said to me dont call just turn up as if they busy when u phone you will be told to stay at home and keep calling every cpl off hours until a bed is free?? , but my MW specifically said i MUST phone first ... what to do ??? if i just turn up they wont refuse me apparantly , but i dont know if that is just rudeDont forget that little Thanks button , only takes a sec0 -
