 You saying that reminded me Mum actually had a travel cot (probably as old as me) which she got third-hand from a friend to use as a playpen (and bought a new travel cot for sleeping). Would she be alright with a playpen and no safety gate to protect Rhys from the dog at least, then just ordinary safety gate at the top of the stairs? Won't be able to have one on the bottom of the stairs - having some fancy big wide step thing apparently.
We've never had a gate on the stairs, I only ever had one on the lounge door (self contained room so can't get anywhere else from it) The one and only time Chris fell down the stairs I was stood next to him :o

are you actually worried about the dog? is s/he very energetic/snappy/timid??

No, not especially - she's a daft as a brush and a bit inquisitive 14yo border collie - but you never can be too careful. Wouldn't leave Rhys in a room unattended with any dog.

I wouldn't leave him unattended in a travel cot with any dog either (dog outside the travel cot obvously) so I am not sure whether putting him in a travel cot makes any difference IYSWIM.

Or have I got the wrong end of the stick?

I am not a dog person so I may be a bit wierd on this one :p

AM - congrats on the house hun xx

Going home now. Wish me luck on getting my babba to sleep ;):D

JAM - Might be worth a PM to carla, she doesnt always get chance to catch up

right, I might not be around too much in the next few days/week

I really need to get my house & life into some kind of order so that I can keep on top of things everyday. Jack seems to be in a routine now so I'm going to make the most of when he's napping to get on. OH & I have had a bit of a barney & I do see where he is coming from in some respects because like today I was so busy going out for lunch, ASDA, PO etc that it meant I was late making Jack's bottles up & Jack was waiting for it.

Once I have the house in order, I then plan to have do an hour or two every day to keep on top of it while Jack naps and hopefully I will get some me time to come on here! With OH working full time from Monday I need to make sure that I have everything done so I can spend time with him in the evenings otherwise I'll never see him.

Then it's Operation Evict BIL ;):rotfl:

right, off to sort out ten ton of washing, sort Jack's clothes out, clean living room ready for tree, clean my scummy bedroom and get the tea on.

:smileyheaI love you all & will be thinking of you all lots & lots, I'm writing this now thinking to myself 'I won't last a day without MSE' but I'm gonna try!
    :rotfl:
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?
