tbh I can cope with out the sleep if I didn't also desperately need a shower
I feel minging but every time I try to put Ed down he cries, I can't let him cry because with the cold he ends up being sick  I also have no clean sleepsuits that actually fit him - need to pick up clean ones from mum and buy some more.
I also NEED to get our passports sorted  muchos stress coz we're going on 2nd Jan!!!!0 -
They don't pay for the first 13 weeks, and especially not while he was in hospital.
I do! I like it a lotFor a first and known-as name, or are you doing same as Fergus?
my mum thinks it should be the same as fergus, and he should have a different first name. This would be great, if DH's parents didn't have a slighly unusual approach. Don't want to bore you all but since fergie was born we've introduced him as 'Jonathan Fergus William, but we call him Fergus!' This usually seems to prompt the response 'Hello Fergus!' and all's well. Not so with MIL and FIL. We call him Fergus was met with, 'well we'll call him Jonathan then.'
DH's best friend did well at gently trying to challenge this, having bumped into MIL in their home town. She began with a kind of 'how's the baby, whatever you call him?' and DH's friend just said: 'I call him Fergus, because that's what his parents do'. However she still calls him Jonathan!
I guess this is ok once we can do lots of 'now fergie remember to say 'yes nanny?' when they call you Jonathan' but at the moment he just responds to fergie or fergus but never hears the word Jonathan so I guess it'll seem for a couple of years like he's just ignoring them!
Dilemma?

we have an issue the other way, my Nanny wants the boys to call her Grandy which is what my sis n I called her mother (our gt gma) but we feel that grandy is special and not to be used again so we always send her cards from all of us to nanny and tell Chris that she is his nanny

elle- great news in post for you today!! yay for DLA!!! and for fab letter from specialist!!
weezl- i;m sure when fergie is older he will insist that they call him by his right name 'fergus'
we get this at work booking holidays, custonmer will say 'his name is..... but on his passport its that....'
my dad was the same... first name became his second name. only got awkward whn he died, trying to sort things out cos the stoopid man never made a will
my mum's not calle dby her proper name. her proper name is Elizabeth but everyone calls her Esther. we asked her mum (my granny), when she was alive why she was called esther and she couldnt remember!'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -
