Was there a full moon or something last night???
Matthew was also a little horror up at least every two hours feeding and then refusing to go back to sleep for ages woke up this morning with him lying horizontally across my chest (ooops). Feel like crap this morning he is now lying in his pram in the living room making little sheep and horse noises. He will be 5 weeks on Friday and I am struggling to get him to take more than 3oz at a feed- he falls asleep and cannot be woken (unless it is night time and he is being put back in his moses basket lol) I change his nappy, strip him and tickle his feet but it does not work. He has taken ten 3oz bottles from 7am yesterday to 7am this morning, think my nipples would have disintegrated if i was still breast feeeding.

Hi pook, Kieren is 7 wks tomorrow and weighed in at a hefty 12lbs last thursday and he still only takes 5oz feeds. He has 7 bottles in a 24hr period, most of these during the day every 3 hrs and sleeps well at night.
3oz could well be filling Matthews tummy just not 'keeping him going' very long. If I try to give him more than 5oz it just comes back out-lovely.

Oh dear, bad nights all round I think, a lot of sleepy mummies today.
SS Glad the monster is feeling a bit better today

*whispers* Kieren had his last bottle at half 9 last night, was up at 4.15am for a feed then got up at 8am this morning
  • The full moon is next week I think...

My small one is shuffling around the floor eating bits of paper out of a torn up catalogue she had the pleasure of yesterday... I'm not worried... After reading a bit of my baby led weaning book, I think I can be pretty sure no paper will be ingested...

  • Morning all :)
Chris is away out on his first driving lesson !!!! Watch out Coleraine lol !!

Susan, I emailed BB a while ago, and they have no real control over who gets what and how often. They are given specific things to test and the babies / children in that age range that are next on the list get it, so it would make no difference if you remind them or not :)

Krystal, do you not think that the follow on milk sample is good for formula feeding mums? I dont really think its fair that free samples shouldnt be given just because it wont be used by everyone, same as when mags give away cereal bars, not everyone can eat them or like them, but I dont think its worthy a complaint, sorry :o

Anyway, whats everyone up to today ??
I need to clean the bathrooms and do some more ironing, but the latter may be put off till tomorrow (again :rotfl:)

    Minimal sleep here too!

We stayed downstairs (new suite is very comfy :D) and she slept on me, waking up about every half hour to be sick!

She finally drank some water this morning at about 6, and within 15 minutes her tummy was growling - and she did the most vile smelling liquid poop!

She had some more water about half an hour ago - and no more rumblings yet.

Phoned work and will take today as flexi, and go in on Friday to make up the hours. (OH is off Friday).

When I collected her from nursery yesterday, there was only a few babies in. I commented on how quiet it was and they said they have quite a few off sick with 'that tummy thing'.
So it took two days of nursery for her to catch some nasty germs - that's really helping my nursery guilt!

Ohhhh, hugs for all sleepy mummies and tired/sickly babies today - I got so excited by getting some actual sleep that I forgot to be sympathetic.

5 things out of 19 remaining on my list and I'm about to actually finish a cup of tea! I normally come back to an inch or so of cold minging tea but this one can be finished in peace. Teeth brushed, then one more thing crossed off, rubbish ready to go down and shoes on, then I'll just wait for Molly to wake so I can feed her and we'll go out.

I love how she has easy-baby days exactly when most required. What a lovely baby :)
