Everyone else is saying what I would Mel - it's not your fault that the student loans people are bogged down, and you're working so hard to make things better for your family. Don't be discouraged, and if you don't want to talk to your GP then maybe your HV or someone anonymous? It really might help :grouphug:

You need to move SM, surely if they're causing you to stress the doctor and HV will back you!

Mel, DS1 said he hated after school club last year (but I am a hard !!! and still sent him), this year he is moaning that he isn't going and says he can't wait till next year so he can go again!
  • Oh, Dylan has been invited to a Chrismas party for all the kids that do hydro at our center !! I said he would be a bit young, (he is the youngest one out of them all, by quite a bit) but they said he would get a wee pressie and a picture with santa and there is nothing to pay other than £2 at the door for tea and shortbread !!
How cool is that !! Will have to get him a[STRIKE] pretty[/STRIKE] handsome outfit to wear !!:D

    Phew!

Poor Molly's been having an awful day with teething - her little ear is raw where she's pulled at it and her gums are ragged. Not to mention the nappies...

I caved and gave her 2.5ml infant calpol and she's finally sleeping after only ten minutes since 6am. So I've folded and put away all the laundry and made up all the nappies, cleared some dubious stuff from the fridge and now I'm sitting down with a yoghurt and some water. I've also emailed the Hot Milk people again with photos of the damage to my lovely bra, they said they'd replace it.

Is there anything beyond Calpol and things to chomp on that I can do for her teeth? My cleaner says that she used honey on the gums of all her kids, but I'd rather not just in case.

  • Hi Ladies!

Hope you are all well and (((hugs))) to anyone who needs them, I am sorry I haven't been able to catch up.

I am back online again at long last, as my laptop finally gave up working last month, But I now have a shiny new one that works perfectly!

So I will update where we are at the moment: Bronwen is now 20 weeks old and has 2 teeth already (She got her first at 13 weeks!) She is a very smiley baby and has a very happy disposition. Family members are wondering why she isn't on solids yet, and keep telling me she needs "proper" food, but she seems happy enough as she is.

Dh has started his new job which he is enjoying alot. Last time I was on here, we were deciding whether to move house or not and we have decided not to move for the time being. He is only working in London 1 or 2 days a week and he is ok with the commute at the moment.

I have had a big day today - I have taken Bronwen out on my own for the first time! :o We only went up the high street, but I was so nervous about being out with her on my own and being soley responsible for her, I haven't done it before. But it was fine and we enjoyed it so much I am already planning to go out again next week too!

SS, a friend of mine said german teething gel has a higher amount of topical anaesthetic in it than the british stuff...

Other than that, ambesol and teething powders come highly recommended... and if the calpol is working then I'd stick with it...

I'd much rather my girls had calpol than suffered...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
