    It's probably a bit dull now :)

Do I remember you were going to be referred to have some dentistry done with the use of some kind of sedation?

I hope that was you :o. If so, my DH wonders if he might be able to set up an online interview with you, via email/msn/facebook type thingie. His PhD is about the patient's thoughts and feelings about dental sedation and it would be lovely if you'd be part of his research.

Anyhow have a ponder if you might mind sharing your thoughts with him.

Sadly the Phd doesn't fund him to pay his interviewees, but I'm sure my fairies could find something to thank you for your time :)

i had a wisdom tooth removed a few years ago by sedation.. it was the nearest thing to being high on illegal drugs.....

Henry Robert was finally born by emergency CS on 19/11/09 after 2 days of induction and 15 days late . He weighed 8lb 12oz and is doing brilliantly. We are so in love with him

Hi GISI, what a top choice of name. Congrats and welcome.

No pork here just had roast chicken, swede, mash, roasties, brussels (Yum yum) and carrots plus yorkshire puds...mmmm off for a snooze now I think.

Hi Lil Miss, welcome to you too.

Nope :p I don't like it much! Always worry that I wont cook it properly and end up with tapeworm or something equally unpleasant!

Hey lil Miss!! Nice to hear from you - glad Taija is doing well and what a head of hair! I think Jacks gonna look strange when he gets hair!

Off to make sausage and mash - just had a major screaming fit cos Jack wanted his bottle and he wouldn't wait for it to cool down. Silly boy - was only 2.5hrs since the last bottle

Can I boost of NO fillings or any other dental treatment except for the odd scrap and polish? :p

    I have a question

Does anybody have any experience with private medical/dental plans like Bupa or similar?
DS1 has a dental problem and it is going to take 6mths just to be referred to an orthodontist, who will then assess whether he is eligible to get work done on the NHS as the criteria has been tightened and only serious cases get funded......Sooo I was thinking of the private option. The letter said that private appts are readily availabe but at £95 just for the assessment appt I dread to think how much the whole treatment might cost!! and we can't even afford the £95 anyway....BUT I don't want to leave his teeth the way they are now I really want to get something sorted.......
I have been looking around but can't see any kinds of prices, or even, whether they will approve 'existing conditions'

    Mel x
