Bargains from our local Sunday market - a huge bag of JD steaks for £10 :T

Opinion time ladies. Andrew is currently 14wks old (3wks corrected) and 5lb. I know I don't have to think about this yet, but at what point should he stop sleeping in his moses basket and be moved into the cot? I'm guessing that it'll have more to do with his activity level rather than his size, but I want to keep him in the basket as long as possible because the cot is huge compared to him.

I put Jack in his cot at 8 weeks as soon as he started hitting the sides of his Mosey and waking himself up
My HV suggested rolling a blanket up really tight and putting it against one side of the cot so that it wasn't quite so big but I never bothered.

It's actually a cotbed so he does look tiny in it but he has room to sleep like a starfish which seems to be his preferred position :rotfl:

We need to move the computer and desk downstairs - in our bedroom we have a double bed, 2 bedside tables, the cot bed, 2 chest of drawers and computer desk. I want a wardrobe instead of the chest of drawers - have to use the inbuilt wardrobes in the spare room!
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?

Thanks for the replies. At the moment Andrew can touch both sides of the basket with arms outstretched, but that doesn't seem to wake him. He's only about half as long as the basket, and I use a rolled-up blanket to block off the top end and put his teddies behind that (it creates a smaller basket area which is cosier). He can wobble the basket with his movements, but as it's on a rocking stand, the activity just sends him back to sleep! I think I'll wait until he's trying to pull himself up/around and it becomes hazardous.

tigs, at that stage we put the basket into the cot for more stability, and to get him used to the look and feel of the cot, ready for that swap. HTH :)

quick question, is the asda travel cot the cheapest everyone's seen?

Mookie - So sorry to hear about everything that's been going on, I'm looking at if it's worth quitting my job to do my training contract now and from what I've heard what they've done to your DH is not unusual - B***tards!

Sugar - Sorry to hear about your DH going back in, hope he's OK soon

Sami - I'm so jealous re the iphone, I want want want one (stamps foot in childish manner) but my contracts not up for another 6 months!

    GISI - Congrats

As for us we went to our first baby swimming lesson yesterday and I must say she loved it, didn't mind going under water or anything so that was fun. Re the baby swimming they say 12 weeks and over if the pool is above 30. We go to water babies and we must have her in a swim nappy and a happy nappy which I managed to get cheap from ebay) which is the brand Elle posted a link to. I think ours cost about £4 inc postage.

DH is on a courses all week about starting his own business and I'm just going to try keeping on top of everything at home although I don't seem to have much time to do anything lately

    It's probably a bit dull now :)

Do I remember you were going to be referred to have some dentistry done with the use of some kind of sedation?

I hope that was you :o. If so, my DH wonders if he might be able to set up an online interview with you, via email/msn/facebook type thingie. His PhD is about the patient's thoughts and feelings about dental sedation and it would be lovely if you'd be part of his research.

Anyhow have a ponder if you might mind sharing your thoughts with him.

Sadly the Phd doesn't fund him to pay his interviewees, but I'm sure my fairies could find something to thank you for your time :)
