My mum had me listening to a Carol vordaman's times tables cassette (how evil :p)

I can spell pronunciation, won Countdown 5 times in Carol's company, and am at most a bit posh ;)

Good idea! Thanks - i had the idea of playdoh -- thanks BM for that recipe too - all the one si looked online had cream of tarter in it too, so thats great for me! BTW, what is that cream of tartar stuff!??

i understood that cream of tartar is what gives it elasticity so not sure how the one without it works.

My claim to fame, however cannot be verified as it was only me there, is that I got one of the number games when Carol didnt !! You know when they give her a bit more time in the ad break if she hasnt got it?? Well I already had it before the ad break :) Thats sad isnt it !

That is most definitely the bench mark with which to measure ones poshness...

I have half a jar of mayonnaise, 3 different types of medicine, a jar of tartar sauce and all my nail varnishes in my fridge... It's a slow week...

Cream of tartar is a powder... Quite possibly found in a similar type box to baking powder and the like... I shall go peruse the virtual shelves of tesco for an image...

  • I have mayo too... and lots of other things. Why are your nail varnish pots in the fridge? Is that recommended practise these days?

I was - long time ago now, 10 years or so, I forget :) back in the halcyon days of Richard and Carol :p I won 5 episodes and lost the 6th, which would've put me into the series quarterfinals  I was knackered though, they film 6 in one day and that's after I'd driven 4 hours up from London to deepest Yorkshire  so that's my excuse and I am sticking to it.

I used to be able to destroy numbers games; usually had the answer before the clock started ticking. It's one of the ways I can really feel youth slipping away from me - I watch it now and it's like, creaking cogs starting to turn... ack!

I was once told it stops them drying out and going lumpy so I've always kept them there... Have never questionned the research behind the recommendations... Might go and google it now...
