Ours don't seem to have websites
I don't really know why I want to go, I just think I ought to give it a try.. I do want to do baby massage and baby signing (if it isn't too late to start them
) but I can't find anything in our area (nothing on netmums). I feel a bit weird about the breastfeeding type things.. maybe I just don't want to have to explain it all over again. At least with massage/signing, if the person running it realises Rhys' age and why he's so dinky etc then I might not have to get into conversation with anyone about it.. iyswim
Elle - my HV gave me a timetable and we went along. There isn't much on at our local one cos it's a satellite one - the main one is in a right dodgy place but there is loads more on there. Am waiting to do Paediatric First Aid in January, baby massage was fab, they are setting up pram walks as well which will be good for exercise purposes!OH just asked me to "trim the bum fluff bits on my back" and I thought he meant his hairy botty but he meant the un-neat parts on the back of his neck :rotfl: so any hoo off to do that for him..
Glad I'm not the only one that has to do this!
Jack was up twice in the night for feeds - once after just 3hrs so a trip to ASDA today for hungry baby formula. all he seems to want is food, I try everything else first and then he drains a bottle!Krystaltips wrote: »I wouldn't want to go... It would shatter the illusion... :rotfl:

I literally cannot understand how/why they are in such a mess I mean it's not like they don't do this every blooming year
did you say you were writing to your MP?
if they are working through in order then it could be April before you get yours
I'm not sure of the exact dates but MIL said the date they've been given that he'll get his is 9mths after they applied
Lack of funding, meaning under staffed/over worked dept....not that I am sticking up for them!!!
The problem is this is the first year that they have taken over sorting out the apps for the entire country (instead od LEA's) and even though back in May/June time they knew they were already falling beind nothing was done to rectify the situation.....
I haven't got round to writng to MP, should really I'm just not sure it is worth the effort!
I really hope I get mine before April!! When was your brother given a date...all I keep getting told is 'another couple of weeks' or 'not much longer, it's just a waiting game'
They said that my app is with the relevant dept but in the queue, in that (final) section

Hi peps, You all talk waaayyy to much, have no chance to keep up with you all! Have a question about taking baby swimming, is there a set age you need to wait til or just take them anytime?? Its been so long since DD was a baby it feels like i've never done it before!!
Thanks x
I want to take Jack swimming in the next few weeks but wanted to ask - what do LO's wear in the pool?
Obviously a swimming nappy (thanks Elle) but do they have special swimsuits?
Sami - I THINK with paypal, if you have funds in your Paypal account, I dont think u pay fees BUT if you dont and they take the money from your bank then there are fees. The fees are just for the receiver though.A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

MIL was getting nowhere on the phone but was worried because they were holding on to her passport and we're going away on 2nd jan so she was worried she wouldn't get it back in time what with Christmas and everything  but she got a letter with a date on it last week.
CSH - there isn't an official age, it is safe to take them from a few days but some pools have their own rules so best to phone your local instead of getting there and them saying you can't go in, I've nver taken Chris but I did get him some little swim shorts just coz they were cuteI saw swimming cossies for baby girls in sainsburys on wednesday so I assume they had boys too
right must go get Chris from my mum - she's opening the Christmas fayre today *oooh!* but canj I come back to your opions ont he dress?
I've decided I'm gonna get it but do I get Fushia or teal? both are colours I wear so no issue there, I'll be wearing it for a wedding reception on 27th Dec and for Ed's Christening wich will be Jane/Feb/March not sure yet

I vote for Fushia0
