Yeah i'm glad, he's shown his true colour big time but i'm slightly  miffed that he couldn't have given me an indication of these colours in the 8 years i've known him, 3 years together! Doh!

I feel soooo unorganised for baby, don't have a cot yet but have crib and basket - roughly how long will i get out of the crib? It seems quite a bit bigger than the basket although i've not put it up yet, just basing it on the mattress size!

Need to hurry up and get my bedroom done so i can get all the baby bits out of the cupboard and see what clothes i need cos i'm pretty sure i've hardly got any at all

I'm a bit paranoid too about babys temperature especially with it being winter and having the C.heating on, DS was an April baby but in hospital he got cold so had to go in SCBU overnight til they were happy. So does anyone recommend a thermometer to put my mind at ease, or am i just being daft?! I'd want to spend as little as possible of course ;)

SM  Don't say that, i was hoping i might not need one til about 5 months :rotfl: I would like one now so it's setup and ready of course but the ex promised he'd buy the cot and pram, and only decided he wasn't buying anything at all until about a week ago, which i thought was just bloody lovely

I want ths one http://www.toysrus.co.uk/Babies-R-Us/Nursery/Furniture-Ranges/I-Love-My-Bear-Cotbed-in-Dark-Finish%280069223%29 cos it matches my bed :o

But need to go about £100 cheaper than that :rotfl:

Chris was out of the crib at 3mths because he liked to fling his arms around in his sleep so would hurt his hand hitting the bars and wake up crying  but Edgar is still in it now 5 1/2mths and there's still quite a bit of room in there and he barely moves in his sleep so hopefully won't need a cot for another cew months :)

I've got the philips flower thermometer (£12.99 in boots) it also goes in the bath to check water temp, My mum had it first and I really like it, much better than some of the not digital bath ones I've used/seen

EDIT: its gone up to £15 :(http://www.boots.com/en/Philips-AVENT-Bath-Room-Thermometer_13631/

  • Beenie - don't forget people will probably buy clothes, we have the Grobag Egg Thermometer it measure room temperature and changes colour - we still use it now as it's a useful nightlight.
