Keira still lets me dress her (mostly) but goes off her head if she wants to wear different shoes! Oh and apparently dresses are perfectly acceptable to wear to bed!
Don't think I've ever had someone turn round and tell me what to do with Keira, luckily for them, I'd probably go off my head. I'm sure an old biddy tutted about something once....really can't remember!
In the lift upstairs today she was whining and making screeching noises about going to Blakeys house *sigh* and I ended up bursting out laughing and 2 other women in the lift couldn't help themselves either. So we were all laughing at her staring at me, opening her mouth and going "SCREEECH BLAKEYS HOUSE, WAHHHH" It's totally fake what she does lol.
Ironing is half done, I think I'll do the rest before bed and make OH's sandwichs, cause I'm feeling productive, must of been that nice nap I had earlier, until the kitten woke me up licking my eyelids!0

Oh, earlier Keira was sitting in bed reading the Xmas card we got from the Royal mail, and me and OH were standing outside her room lolling our heads off.
She was "reading" it and it was something like "Santa comes at Christmas, and he's going to get me rollerskates, from asda, tomorrow" I couldn't stop laughing, and she got all embarrassed and started laughing herself and said "I'm only reading!!"
 She mentions rollerskates 453453 times a day.0

Buttons - your posts really make me laugh! You should be a comedian! :rotfl:
Sami - why would anyone want a recipe book about peas?
MFD - 17th Dec is in my diary as a possible meeting in RL date. Where is central for the usual suspects to meet for [STRIKE]gossiping and eating cake[/STRIKE] last minute Christmas shopping.
 Goodnight everyone. xx:beer:0

I'm sure Weezl could make a hundred and one things from peas
Haha, glad they make you laugh, I'm pretty much like that in real life, except I'll probably throw in some innapropriate comments that insult you somehow
Yuk there is only diet pepsi in the house and it tastes like syrupy? So I'm drinking squash, it's not actually that bad if you let the water run for a bit.
Oh what a shame, I can't finish my ironing because one of the cats is snoozing on the board, would be mean to move him, ho hum....0

Hmm. Up at 3.45, I then OH took turns calming him down, was totally awake though, went back to bed as convinced he is waking at 4 every day now by habit and we need to teach him not to. From 4.15 to 5.30 he let out a shout or wail with 2-15 minute gaps, ensuring I had never completely fallen asleep, but always went quiet again without really kicking off guess we both drifted off at 5.30 and then woke just before 7. 0 guess we both drifted off at 5.30 and then woke just before 7. 0

            Morning!
Charlotte can be fussy with clothes and likes certain ones best. She's got an Iggle Piggle and Daddys t-shirt are really washed out now as she's worn so much, but she still asks to put it on. Daddy's t-shirt says "love and hugs for my Daddy" on the front, so Craig gets lots of hugs and kisses when she has that one on
Josh and James are starting to get fussy about fashion and brand names. Apparantly I'm an old fogie who has no idea what is cool or not, so I've been told not to buy any clothes when they are not present. James was shocked because I was singing along to the radio and he said "eeeh you know the words to recent pop music." Maybe I should just sit in a rocking chair, knitting and listening to Radio 4 or something :rolleyes:Here I go again on my own....0

I used to put Alice in the big cardboard box the car seat base came in with a load of toys sometimes to stop her getting into things. Also for a while if I stood her up at a dining chair (with a toy on it for her to play with), she couldn't get down so would just stand against the chair playing. Have you got any toys with you? Plastic bottles filled with rice or lentils are good. Also old biscuit tins and large plastic tubs work well as drums. At this age I found it useful to have alternatives readily available so that there was something to play with instead of the forbidden things. I also used to sit Alice in the high chair with a couple of toys to watch me in the kitchen when I was doing cooking. Do you get junk mail and leaflets through the door? I seem to remeber them being very entertaining when Alice was around Toby's age.feelinggood wrote: »Mfd - I just didn't manage to get to the GP. Then I ended up up here and the doctor here will only prescribe about 4 days worth and I'm not up to going that often. Normal GP only gives 10 to 14 days worth and I struggle to get there. Will mention that at December appointment. Don't know when I'm home, 21st or 28th. Appointment on 7th or thereabouts. Sorry for all this whinging and moaning, others' have got things so much worse. It feels like it gets harder as he gets older. I could deal with sitting and cuddling him all day. Now its a constant circle of getting finers out of the video, hands off wires, paper out of mouth. So many bumped heads, banged chins. Tantrum after having the remote taken away. He doesn't laugh like he used to
I'll try to have a look through old photos later to see if I can come up with any more ideas.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

Do you know for sure that nobody came out to check on him in that time though? My mum used to go shopping and leave my brothers in the car because it was pretty hard to get double pushchairs into shops in those days and you didn't have nice twin baby trolleys either like you do now. She would race round each shop like a mad thing and then run back to the car between each one to make sure they were okay.money_maker wrote: »Oh !!! on the subject of possible bad parenting ...... I was at B & Q today and parked next to a car which had a baby no older than Dylan in it asleep on his own, I went in, bought a couple of things and when I came out he was still on his own !!! Now, I have no problem running in to pay petrol or something , but a trip round B & Q !!!! Thats ridiculous !!!
We only ever took Alice's Gp0 carseat out of the car once and that was when she moved on to the Gp1 seat.jillie1974 wrote: »can i apologise in advance to those i'll be meeting in trafford, i hate , hate those car seats pretending to be a pram and i have a tendency to go on a bit to DH when we are out and i see them... and in trafford you see loads!!!!!
we just put the buggy in the boot, use that and leave the car seat in the car. ITS A CAR SEAT NOT A PRAM!!!!

I don't believe you! You often ask questions etc on here - that means you care. What you mean is that you don't overly worry
Feely- I have to back up everything already said on here. Its normal (having seen what everyone on here goes through) to question our abilities - we are doing something new, which can feel like a huge resonsibility at times. I know I'm not getting it right 100% of the time. As much as I'd love to pretend that I have a perfect life, I don't, and neither does anyone else - it's just we all ahve different issues and problem to work at.
If you are managing to feed and clothe and love LO then right now that'll see him through better than many children. Don't concentrate on what you think you ought to do with Toby - do what you want and what feels right. That way he'll benefit most.
okay - preaching over group hug time xxxx group hug time xxxx
