I'm sorry feelie that you are even considering adoption. I know things are difficult for you but please very carefully consider the reality of adoption. I've stood next to women as the Courts have made adoption orders in respect of their children and the sounds of anguish that come from their mouths is something that will stay with me forever. I've also dealt with women who have given their children up for adoption and 15 years down the line bitterly regret the decision and have never moved on. There are days when the little ones drive us to distraction and you think, if I could just have one day to myself. But imagine if that day was every day for ever and ever. You could never see Toby again or know where he was, what he was doing, whether he was happy, what his favourite food was, if he still liked wearing bright clothes etc. Do you really think a stranger would do a better job than you at looking after your little boy?

I know its a decision you would never make lightly but it just touched something within me and I had to say something. Sorry if I upset you (or anyone else).

Could someone please also let AM know that if she needs any legal assistance about getting injunctions etc or wants me to ring round solicitors for her or prepare any of the necessary court documents for her, to please let me know. Happy to pass on my number to those in contact with her if she needs any help at all.

Talking about being skint SM, my friend is not so well off, do you remember I asked about car seats the other day. She's been everywhere now and talked to Peugot, no car seats to fit so she's gotta change her car, she's only got 6 weeks left. Really feel sorry for her as she's worrying abput it.

  • oh tara, thats awful :( Does she live fairly close to shops and things that she could get away with not having a car for a while ?? There are forward facing car seats that fit in most cars, but they arent really suitable from birth, but if she could manage for a few months, it would be cheaper than a new car !!

No she lives here, a car is an essential unfortunatly. And even the forward facing are no good, something to do with the seat belts being too long. Peugot are aware of the problem, stoopid thing is it's an estate so classed as a family car but because it's the SW it's got the sports seats.

Not really on here tonight (enjoying the peace & quiet of Andrew sleeping upstairs for the second time!) but just wanted to send Feely some hugs, I think you need them :) Personally I think you've done a wonderful job so far and you're just having a confidence crisis - but Toby won't notice this and will still carry on being a charming little devil all the same ;) I haven't gone to any baby groups yet and I'm not sure I will, as I'm not into group stuff (witness my trying to back out of the Trafford meet!), and it's Marley that makes us go out most days as he's going mad being at home!

was it because of the seat being a sports type ones?
if so could she not change the passenger seat :undecided (assuming there's no air bag)
