AM wanted to know about a £120 Netbook sold by Maplin, does anyone have any opinions/recommendations? She just needs something to get online with, she has a desktop and could get a dongle for that, but a Netbook might be better.

It says "No support for 3G broadband" and "3x USB for mouse / keyboard connection only (no external Hard Drive, USB memory stick or Optical Drive support)"

Are all wireless internet dongles 3G, and does that mean no dongle would work? (Never come across USB only for keyboards?).

  • hi girls have not been on in ages. Have been living in a sleep deprived parallel universe. However, I must report some moderate success last night with the aid of both a prince lionheart slumber bear (plays womb sounds) and a dummy. The dummy is a sign of my desperation as I really despise dummys (just hate how they look in a babys mouth especially when they get older). Moderate success meant that I could put matthew down a bit quicker after his feeds and he sort of settled himself. However he is still waking at least two hourly, takes maybe 1 oz of feed and then falls asleep but must say those two hours felt like heaven last night lol!!
Off to read back a few pages to see what I have missed.
Quick question to Glam if she is about- I started Matthew on the Aptamil easy digest but his farts have became really toxic did you find this happened when you changed formula or have I just got a stinky baby??
    Coming soon............
Brand new baby first showing in November!

I've asked on the Techie board, thanks. OH is my Techie Guru but he is sleeping. I got rid of my worm though :)

Feel bad tonight, really bad back pain. Fussy baby and feeling like a failure too. I know giving LO would break my heart, but I can't stop thinking it'd be best for him. I'm really not doing a good job.

Pookie, if you only use the dummy at bed/nap times, then you won't have to look at a baby with a dummy in it's mouth all the time. I hate a child with a dummy in its mouth when its awake (I should stop saying it), but both they boys had one till 12/18months and Amber has one. Sleep is more important.

ps, baby farts are stinky no matter what.
