I was going to ask the ones with older kids about PSP's but I think Mel might have shown earlier that hubby and I are well out of touch on this one.
DSS has asked for a PSP for Christmas. He is prepared to put money towards it if he needs to. Our initial thoughts is that the PSP is too old for him, most of the games are older games which we would not allow him to play. He is 10 in January, we MAY let him play a 12 on a console IF we were watching/playing with him. We would definitely not let him play any older games on a hand-held.
He has never mentioned it before and we are unsure if a) it is just a reaction to us asking him what he would like for christmas and b) whether it is actually a suitable gift for a 9 (nearly 10) year old boy.
Any thoughts?please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

Not an option Feely! Although Milk should still be a big part of Tobys diet. What are you finding stressful?please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

We usually have spicy toppings Sami so I take them off. Also any ham (crappy ham is too salty) I have let him eat the pineapple but pick it off for himdunno why!
I had a patience lapse this afternoon tooalthough it came back in spades when I found the tooth
Bless him, he hasn't cried until this afternoon (and then we got buckets of real tears!).
Benjamin is in bed already - praying for an easy night, calpol on hand
I am writing a note for the childminder explaining the injuries that he has accumulated this weekend
Ed's just woken and seems calmer thank god, I just can't work out whats wrong with him but I hope i doesn't last. he's woken up randomly the last 4 nights soaked in wee even though I've changed him an extra time and last night I also used next size up nappies0 -

He just doesn't swallow! He chews, bites and get things in his mouth well, but doesn't seem to want to swallow. He'll happily chew things to a mush and chomp on bits but swallows very little. I thought maybe BLW isn't for him, but purees go down even worse. He doesn't want that much milk at the momemt, so is going to continue only gaining an oz a month.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0

Psp - Make sure he knows what he'll be allowed to play before getting it, just incase he is hoping/thinking he'll be able to play things he won't.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0

It is just so strange, he keeps shoving more in there, chewing it up, then spitting it out again and chewing something else! He will swallow some things, mainly home made rice pudding, carrot, apple and yogurt.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0

MFD - I'm kinda with you on that one I'm not sure about games for psp, I asked hubby because he's got one and he isn't sure either, I'd be happy to get him a nintendo DS though because I know there are lots of 3+ and 7+ games for it and lots of them are educational ones.
I think Mel said her DS1 had got COD MW2 (which is totally your choice Mel and I'm not saying you shouldn't have, you know your kids) which is rated 18yrs, having seen hubby play that game I wouldn't want my boys seeing it before they're at least 14 . One level in particular you enter a full airport and have to shoot all the innocent people which I think is shocking0
