    hi all,

    just read this page sorry.

windy as heck here down south.

okay, looks as though i am booking tickets in the next day.

so... what to take on the plane????

    My list
bottles (i have bought some of the sterile ones in boots already to see if LO will take to the teet. she is quite funny about teets which is why i am trying before we go. if she doesn't take, then i will just take our normal TT CTN ones on board
formula (still not sure what is the best way forward with this. i know i can ring the boots air side and see if they have the ready to go cartons BUT what then happens when we have the connection, looking to be either dubai or abu daubi at the minute. i go through security again and face the liquid issue so if i have any cartons left they will have to go wont they?? should i therefore just take a box of formula on the plane? or saying that i have one of those three divider feed things, or i could buy those things that go inside the TT bottles to store the powder. are they likely to want me to taste that?? i DONT do milk
finger food (baby food will be provided for LO but not sure what it will actually consist of? of course she can pick at whatever i am having too. fruit purees was suggested to me by HV)
    muslins x 3
    pack of wipes
    pack of nappy bags
nappies x 17 (sorry sami - am thinking of also the three hour wait before we take off. i am sure i'm well overcompensating, but not something i want to be caught short on).
    disposble bibs
    sleepsuit x 2
    vests x 2
outfit for landing (i dont want her meeting her nonna and pop in her nightwear :D)
toys (thinking a lamaze (sp?) doll she has as she bits on the beads, her vibrating teether butterfly, i am thinking of buying her a book thing from M&Ps called 'are we there yet' and it crinkles, has a mirror and a horn sound (still have a voucher there), a rattle horse thing ... hmmm.. what else.

what have i missed??? i was thinking a blanket, but then they are supplied on a plane. although thinking, she might need one in the airport.

sorry for the mammoth boring post, but if anyone has a free spare four weeks and wants to do the journey with me, then you're more than welcome

    xx
    Are you paying? ;)
I have the tt inside bottle pots, happy to pass them on to the fairies :)
Does she drink water (and therefore need a cup)?
I think I took jars of food when we went but can't remember, I'd be wary of plane food because its usually very salty :undecided
a banana would be easy to do for the first leg, bread sticks..

I saw some knitted uggs in costco Em, the sole looked well and truly part of the boot. Think they were £39, or is that too:eek: and you need something more :money:?
very  i wish we had a costco though, i get jealous hearing all your discoveries :(
I got ones from Shoe Zone? The soles don't just out, but they flippin honk now cause I wore them with no socks :D Cost £10, not sure if you have one of those stores though? Get some okay cheapy shoes there, though it is right next to schuh in Aberdeen, I wouldn't shop there, too expensive lol.
theres one of them about 5 minutes from my house so that would be good times! if its not still pishing down i'll have a look tomorrow, ta!

I'm jealous u r meeting MFD (She's lovely and not minging at all lol!)

well, Jack is in his cot and I'm not giving up (Bruno, I'm on Number 12 now hoping I don't get to 87 ;)) He had a bottle, bath, massage (where he peed all over me, himself and the fleece blanket I put down to protect my bed:rolleyes:) and is in cot, I thought he dropped off straightaway but have been in 12 times now to soothe him. Keeps spitting dummy out then asking for it so if he does it again I have some Infacol ready to put on the dummy so he keeps sucking!

I'm now on the landing, lying on the floor cos I CBA to keep going up and down the stairs! Darn, left my cider downstairs

    Bless you!!

Oh my! You are committed aren't you??? Good luck!

I agree on the salty stuff, but it is only 1 day and it's a long flight so I reckon anything goes

Personally, I would rather baby eats some salty gravy than screams :o

    hmmm....
i would love to pay someone to come, honestly, if i could get away with it i seriously would and i'm not joking :D

disposable bibs - can't say i'm a fan either and like Benjamin, LO does just tear them up but i thought it would save taking the real deal. i bought tommee tippee ones of these too. okay, might re think that one.

so you can sleep easy MFD i will take 18 :D then you and sami can rest easy.

i would love to say yes to the fairies Sami, but as yet i could be leaving as early as wednesday or as late as friday (unless i get some good news tonight) so i dont think the fairies would have quick enough wiings, although we are very grateful for the offer.

LO likes those heinz biscotti things and she will have rice cakes so i might take some of those. i must say i'm not too picky about what she eats (except salt) as i like her to try different things as i was a fussy eater.

must keep working on her and the sippy cup (as it has a lid so therefore better for the plane). she will take water sometimes and squash. although am i being over cautious worrying that the water will go through her (like we use it when they haven't been pooing) as i dont want to create more of a need for nappies than normal.

MFD - salt is my nemesis :rotfl: I think I notice it more because I eat very little of it, if I have a packet of crisps I need to drink about 3 pints of water after to feel normal :o
