It is pencilled in. I can be up there at about 11.30am? We could meet for an early lunch (Benjamin will be starving after swimming) and then a little Stokke parade??
I am excited about seeing another Stokke! I have only ever seen another one in the flesh and it was whilst I was pregnant (and hunting down my deal) and I was too shy to go and have a look!!
Fabulous! I got a couple of comments about it on the train, not as many comments as his die-dye babygrow.
11.30am is good for me, what sort of a lunch? I can make some sarnies for here, or there are lots of nice places. There is also this:

But perhaps icecreams not a good lunch after swimming!Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -

It has a panini on the picture so I guess we can grab a sandwich before the ice-creamSounds good...although I warn you, Benjamin gets shouty for ice-cream

hi all,
just read this page sorry.
windy as heck here down south.
okay, looks as though i am booking tickets in the next day.
so... what to take on the plane????
My list
bottles (i have bought some of the sterile ones in boots already to see if LO will take to the teet. she is quite funny about teets which is why i am trying before we go. if she doesn't take, then i will just take our normal TT CTN ones on board
formula (still not sure what is the best way forward with this. i know i can ring the boots air side and see if they have the ready to go cartons BUT what then happens when we have the connection, looking to be either dubai or abu daubi at the minute. i go through security again and face the liquid issue so if i have any cartons left they will have to go wont they?? should i therefore just take a box of formula on the plane? or saying that i have one of those three divider feed things, or i could buy those things that go inside the TT bottles to store the powder. are they likely to want me to taste that?? i DONT do milk
finger food (baby food will be provided for LO but not sure what it will actually consist of? of course she can pick at whatever i am having too. fruit purees was suggested to me by HV)
muslins x 3
pack of wipes
pack of nappy bags
nappies x 17 (sorry sami - am thinking of also the three hour wait before we take off. i am sure i'm well overcompensating, but not something i want to be caught short on).
disposble bibs
sleepsuit x 2
vests x 2
outfit for landing (i dont want her meeting her nonna and pop in her nightwear)
toys (thinking a lamaze (sp?) doll she has as she bits on the beads, her vibrating teether butterfly, i am thinking of buying her a book thing from M&Ps called 'are we there yet' and it crinkles, has a mirror and a horn sound (still have a voucher there), a rattle horse thing ... hmmm.. what else.
what have i missed??? i was thinking a blanket, but then they are supplied on a plane. although thinking, she might need one in the airport.
sorry for the mammoth boring post, but if anyone has a free spare four weeks and wants to do the journey with me, then you're more than welcome

I would love to do the journey with you :A
Formula - I would take a box of formula (small size) and an empty flask, which I would then ask to be filled with boiled water wherever possible and just hot water if it comes to that. If I got hold of boiled water airside I would make up a few bottles and then get more!!!
If I could get cartons I would buy them, and if asked to test and I REALLY couldn't I would offer to let baby girl test them (and say I was allergic!).
Take biscuits or something that baby girl likes to eat - and stuff it if she wants to eat a whole packet!! It is only 1 day!!
Take quiet toys too.
IMHO disposable bibs are sho1te!! Better to take real ones (buy 1 for £3 in Ethel Austin) and dump if necessary. When we went away I ended up handwashing the 3 bibs I did have to stop me having to use the disposables (Benjamin just screwed them up LOL!)
Please take 18 nappiesplease listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
AF - I'm rubbish with packing lists. Think it is hereditary, Mum came back after setting off without the breadmaker! Hopefully someone more organised will help.
Do you have a small cup or something to taste the milk? Would it contaminate it otherwise? Don't suppose taking some nesquick would make the milk better?Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -
oh. feelie I'm going Monday - please say u r coming?! :j
If u go to Bank Quay Train Station, it's very easy to get to the venue. I would offer to pick u up but assume u dont wana lug car seat around - it's only a 10-15min walk though.
I'm jealous u r meeting MFD (She's lovely and not minging at all lol!)
well, Jack is in his cot and I'm not giving up (Bruno, I'm on Number 12 now hoping I don't get to 87:eek:) He had a bottle, bath, massage (where he peed all over me, himself and the fleece blanket I put down to protect my bed:rolleyes:) and is in cot, I thought he dropped off straightaway but have been in 12 times now to soothe him. Keeps spitting dummy out then asking for it so if he does it again I have some Infacol ready to put on the dummy so he keeps sucking!
I'm now on the landing, lying on the floor cos I CBA to keep going up and down the stairs! Darn, left my cider downstairs
BM - fab news!
