Oooh wanted to add to Weezl that it will be lovely having two boys, Fergie and his little brother will grow up together and be best friends.

My older two are inseparable and when one gets told off the other always tried to stick up for the one being told off. They do argue too, but 90% of the time resolve it themselves and come to an agreement.
I sort of hope this new little one will be a boy so Kai can have the same 'closeness' as his two older brothers have....although a teeny part of me would sort of like a girl... I guess it is a win, win situation for me:)

today I have been the worst mummy ever :o After boobie group we went to the big park which is fab, Chris finally got a propper go on a see saw because there were some other todlers there. Edgar was tucked up asleep and Chris was happily running round so I hopped on he big kids swing thing then Chris decided he wanted to push me - just as I scream noooooo he got smacked straight in the nose by it :(
then once calm he promptly wet himself - anyone know how to clean leather trainers that have been filled with wee??
Then I got him a happy meal coz I felt guilty :o

It's when you don't notice at first and then you feels something warm on your leg and then see what it is (or is that just me? :o)

I'd second that. Maybe put them in a pillow case too?

Right, I'm off to put my sleeping baby down and make myself look busy when DH walks in :D

Thanks girls. I was going to give it until Monday anyway before I made a decision but think I'll just stick it out. I don't want to start weaning yet and would like to be as close as possible to the 26 week mark (not least because I haven't bought my funky shaped ice cube trays yet :D) even though FIL thinks I should wean ASAP so she can have a xmas dinner!!

Weezl - congrats on your healthy baby. Very MSE!

Feely - try and have a good old rest and try to relax at your mums. Sending you hugs.

Sami - you made me laugh when you said about Chris being naughty and talking to himself.
lol at Christmas dinner I think that might be why my mum is puttingthe pressure on too :rotfl:
Its a good job my Chris is so cute otherwise I could have strangled him many a time by now :p

The babes look cute together, I wonder if she'll have Rhys n Reece fighting over her in a few years ;)

Claire that is a very clever carpet choice! Mine just depresses me to look at now, its so vile, in fact the whole house is - anyone got a spare £150k to buy me somewhere decent??... nope oh well :(

Yep I did suspect kids weren't getting their fingers chopped off;) One mum even said in the playground that kids hands had been getting chopped off:rolleyes: Some people just love doom and gloom stories, even when not true!!

I saw one news story that ended with the presenter/reporter using the buggy to chop a carrot in half - he didn't even put it in the right place!

Oh.. just my HV then! I dunno, she just said "I wouldn't recommend you have rusks at all.." :o
one of mine said i shouldnt give rusks cos they were full of sugar, even though they'd been changed to have less in them they are still stuffed. but then she also said jars are all full of sugar, salt, preservatives and colourings so they should only be given if you go out or in case of emergency  so i'm not sure she was the best informed lady on the ingredients of baby food!!

Em - maybe you could find a farmer willing to take the cat  or pop an ad on gumtree asking for an experienced cat person with no kids?
i've thought about nothing else today :( but i have come to the decision that there is absolutely no way i am getting rid of my cat. i'll just have to treat him like a dog and make sure he's not near seth unsupervised. and invest in a water squirter! i am still hoping he will calm when we get #2 and that he will be able to play with him and vent his excess energy. OH will be told tonight he is never to suggest it again on pain of death!
ETA - i think with any cat there is always the issue of the possibility of it scratching a child and i am very much of the opinion that pets are members of the family and are not there to be tossed out if you decide you dont want them any more!

we just went to the shop and seth cried all along the road and seemed terrified of the cars going past! maybe it was because it was dark?
also does anyone else shop at aldi? are the staff rude in all of them or just mine? in my one they even dont wait for you to take your shopping off the packing bit on the end of the till before they start scanning the next customers stuff and i find it really disgustingly rude! they have a packing area away from the till that you're supposed to pack your stuff on, but when you have a buggy i think the least they can do is wait the extra 10 seconds it takes to put the stuff under it!
