Sorted, cuppa and Daisy impression time

I got four of those photo baubles from Tesco, currently £4.97 - dunno if they've always been that price  No vests on the right size - ah well, Asda trip then! ;)

Have got what seems like masses of jars. I'm quite impressed with myself to say that there wasn't much available that I wouldn't make myself :D Think the market is definitely the way to go, MSE wise at the very least!

We're going to Mum's for steak pie for tea :D Just waiting for OH to get home..

I also think parents need to keep kids away from any buggy when folding, but for it to actually chop off fingers (or at least that's what I heard had happened!!) is a bit dangerous IMO!!

Glad Toby is being good on the train, hope she gets to her mum's soon x

    Husband update:

Ultrasound went well. His gallbladder and liver (often damaged secondary to the rotten pancreas) are both fine, although the liver needs some TLC. The head of the pancreas is fine. The tail of the pancreas is a bit rotten, but the tube the pancreas has built to drain its excess disgusting down into the abdominal cavity is clearly visible and not doing any damage, so with the hardcore antibiotics and the flushing him out constantly for a week (clean saline in through one tube; saline filled with infected matter out through another tube) the pancreas should get its act together and the body will dispose of the poisonous bits itself.

So no surgery and probably no permanent damage!!!
Oh thats good news, bet your all feeling a bit better now!

thats not what has been happening (as I think you suspect ) their have been something like 15 children that needed to have part of the finger amputated as a result of injury so that could be 'just' the tip.
I read an article comparing it to finger injuries sustained due to doors and doors are FAR more dangerous to you childs fingers ;)

MFD - thank you for the information about childminders (I know it was a while ago now that you posted it). As you say, it is an emotive subject so thank you for replying. I've shown DH and we're going to have a look into both CM and nurseries and then take it from there. Thank you again sweetie.

Thank you to everyone else who gave their pros and cons for both too.

Elle and Claire - I've finally uploaded the pics (here) from when we went to Claire's house. They're all very similar but I uploaded them all anyway. There aren't any of all three babies together as Reece was having his nappy changed when I took them, but I think Claire took some of Reece and Rhys when Caitlin was asleep? (Excuse how short Caitlin's dress is, I didn't realise until I saw the pics. She never wore it again!).
Choppy, a growth spurt and night waking after previously sleeping through is quite common at 4monthsish... and should settle down within a week or 2. I personally would just offer a milk feed in the night and ride it out, but it's up to you if you decide to wean or not...

We're at 24 weeks with nothing but milk so far

My advice would be to just go with the flow She could be hungry, uncomfortable, teething, bad dreams all sorts

Thanks girls. I was going to give it until Monday anyway before I made a decision but think I'll just stick it out. I don't want to start weaning yet and would like to be as close as possible to the 26 week mark (not least because I haven't bought my funky shaped ice cube trays yet :D) even though FIL thinks I should wean ASAP so she can have a xmas dinner!!

Weezl - congrats on your healthy baby. Very MSE!

Feely - try and have a good old rest and try to relax at your mums. Sending you hugs.

Sami - you made me laugh when you said about Chris being naughty and talking to himself.

Yep I did suspect kids weren't getting their fingers chopped off;) One mum even said in the playground that kids hands had been getting chopped off:rolleyes: Some people just love doom and gloom stories, even when not true!!

I threw Caitlin (not literally) up in the air a good couple of hours after her feed on Sunday and ended up with sick on my head _pale_
