  • Hugs, Feelie. Is there any way your parents could collect you? If not then keep the packing really simple as alot can be bought when you get there.

    ((hugs)) feelie x
    :)Still searching .....:)
  • Feely - ((HUGS)) hun, if it is OH's suggestion then get him to take you to the train....

    What NOT to pack:

Nappies (just pack 4 or 5 - buy when you get there)
Food, only anything you need for the journey
Toys (other than big faves) - there will be plenty of new things to amuse him! Give him a pan and a wooden spoon!

    Pack for Toby:

    3 or 4 daytime outfits
    3 or 4 nighttime outfits
6 vests (if you wear 2 a day like we do)
Sleeping bag or blankets (if your mum doesn't have them) or will he co-sleep?
    Bibs
    Muslins (if you use them)
    Any comfort things
A sippy cup if you give water
Buggy (or not - are you going to be doing that much walking)
    Carseat

All your babba really needs is boobies and some bread (or whatever) to keep him going whilst you are on the move.

You will be fine hun. FWIW I think some time apart may do you good UNLESS you will be missing appointments - in which case he is stopping you getting help...would he consider going elsewhere for a while?

I tentatively take that as a compliment  dunno what I have done.

I am now always working Mondays (I was trying to fit my working days around swimming lessons and booby clubs :D) Monday is a slack day for us ;)

Maybe he has said it in the hope that you will talk him round if so maybe a week at your mums would be good.

Don't worry about the train hun, a wheely case (or any bag that will fit over the buggy handles, but not too heavy that the buggy falls over), and Toby has everything he needs.

Few outfits, regular changing bag, mummy and a cup and Toby is all set. You just need a few outfits too.

I just had a very sick Christopher and a bed, wall, carpet and blind needing cleaning as well as a bath for Chris. No temperature though. DS1 now says he has a sore tummy, but I hope he is just after the sympathy vote. Oh yeah and Amber has a cold too. Don't think I could manage 3 sick kids! DH will be home soon.

    ...

Have you got a local sure start centre? That is where I started. I first went when Benjamin was 3 weeks :D

Just found my nearest on the web but there wasn't much info about it so I sent them an email and got a reply telling me just to drop in and they will be able to give me more info so that looks promising. Will go tomorrow as it will give me and the MIL something to do - running out of easy things to do while she is here but can't just sit in my flat all day - only 3 more days to go until I can wonder around the flat in a semi-clothed state :j
