oh yeah Dora - have work given you a reasonable explanation of why you can't have the reduced hours? maybe you can argue your case yet

mm, Is 4 1/2 days not feasable?

We've gone with a week on Sunday... My baby's getting dedicated :D Which kind of makes the 9-12m dress we bought the other day redundant... But hey ho... It was a bit hairy for a while, I don't call hubby the nay sayer for nothing... But he was quite upbeat about it before he called his dad... The Nay sayer almighty... But after about 4 phonecalls backwards and forwards he finally agreed... I'm all excited now :D

Oh, and the new shed gets delivered a week on Wednesday... Shame it won't be constructed before the Sunday so the house is nice and clear for when people come round...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

  • Poor Benjamin, do you think it's teething or seperation anxiety? Well done on still getting to swimming though! Wish our surestart did cheap swimming lessons... Although we wouldn't of been anywhere for 9am, we're having skin to skin in bed this morning :D

He has been doing it on and off for about a week now so I think it may be teeth! Or just that he is a little b00ger!

I'm so upset, angry p'd off (take your pick)

My manager finally got back to me about my return to work, well I'd asked for 9-4, Monday-Thursday, and I can't have it  The only day she can offer is a Tuesday and I have to work 9-5. It takes me over an hour to get home due to public transport and if I work until 5pm it'll be more or less time to put him to bed when I get in. I didn't have a child to not see him , plus Tuesday is just a random day to have off, so it looks like I'll be seaqrching for another job. Most probably evenings and weekends :o so me and hubby will never see each other.

Sometimes I wish I wasn't such a mardy bum and didn't get so upset.

((HUGS)) dora. Don't dismiss the offer out of hand. Personally I would much rather have a full day off with Benjamin that an extra hour of crabby-bum in the evening. You will also find that when you come home he will want to spend some time with you so will be easy to entertain and cuddle IYSWIM.

Benjamin and I had a lovely hour and a half yesterday evening (even if I was shouting at hubby for some of it!) but because we hadn't seen each other all day it wasn't the usual 'getting ready for bed crabbiness'

Perhaps you could chat to them about doing 8-4pm for 2 days a week?

Don't forget, these babies grow very quickly so even if he wants to go down at 6.30pm now it won't stay like that forever.

    Just a few thoughts

Probably a combination of the two ;)

I think Caitlyn might be starting to teethe... She's been chewing on everything she can get her hands on (more so than normal) and her cheeks were a delightful shade of red earlier... And despite adminsitering occasional packets of powder... I'm still in denial...
