  • mm, Is 4 1/2 days not feasable?

    At the minute I work 35 hours - 4 x 8 hour days and 1 x 3 hour day
I want to go to one week as above, next week 3 x 8 and 1 x 3.
The half day wouldnt work for me financially, as I would still have to drive 40 miles to get to work, just for less hours, whereas the day off every other week would allow me a day less petrol as well as the time at home. Not sure what to do now :( the 3 hour day is the Saturday, which I could drop, and also finish an hour early one day a week, but I know for a fact, I would still be made to work some Saturdays anyway, so whats the point ???

Yay for dedication service, Krystal :) Can you take the dress back and swap it for a smaller size?
I probably could because it's only Asda... But I have Aimee's christening gown that I thought might be sweet for her to wear... Seeing as she's not crawling or walking yet it would work quite well...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

seems at the moment, no-one can get the hours they want to work.

i printed off before i went on mat leave our company policy on flex working hours and requests for it. i'm already assuming i cant work the hours i want but.... the manager will have to follow company procedure as i wont be a pushover on my hours
    (not suggesting anyone is)

mm- is there not a branch closer to you that can offer the hours you want.

  • jillie, I'm being the same, I just asked her what the business reason was for it, and she couldnt give me one !!
I work in 2 branches, 1 40 miles away and 1 5 minutes away !! No other branches available for me to move to, so I'm stuck, unless I choose a demotion and could stay in my home branch full time, but less money :(

We had a couple of hours of screaming again last night  Benjamin finally settled about 2am and we still managed to make it to swimming at 9am!

    Who is Taylor Hanson? :o

    *Runs away to google*

LOL - I guess the surname should have given it away.

Off to put the babba down for his nap....still Lolling weezl's willy head comment!!!

You made it swimming at 9 - you are officailly superwoman. When Archie has a bad night (and yes it still happens :0( ) I am useless the next day and generally end up sharing his nap :D.

I'm so upset, angry p'd off (take your pick)

My manager finally got back to me about my return to work, well I'd asked for 9-4, Monday-Thursday, and I can't have it  The only day she can offer is a Tuesday and I have to work 9-5. It takes me over an hour to get home due to public transport and if I work until 5pm it'll be more or less time to put him to bed when I get in. I didn't have a child to not see him , plus Tuesday is just a random day to have off, so it looks like I'll be seaqrching for another job. Most probably evenings and weekends :o so me and hubby will never see each other.

Sometimes I wish I wasn't such a mardy bum and didn't get so upset.

Was gonna right something incitful here but then krystal said it all lol !!!!

Sugar - big hugs to you and 'get well soon' vibes to OH. Is flying back to the UK for treatment an option?

Krystal - I would go for next Sunday.

weezl - in case u have gone by the time I log on later, good luck with the scan tomorrow. Will be waiting for news of team blue and team pink!

Jack just left a pool of baby sick on Daddy's chest :rotfl:

Thanks lovely - since he isn't a UK citizen or resident we'd still have to pay there :(

And I agree with you about next Sunday and Weezlie's scan (the fairies probably have a whole array of MSE team pink things if it turns out that way) and :rotfl:at Jack. I feel a bit better about getting puked on the other day ( at babies who throw up in my face).
