    Husbandly update ...

It's not a hernia. It in in fact a suicidal pancreas (I'm not sure what you'd call it in English). Anyway, his pancreas has grown little tubes into his abdominal cavity that are leaking fluid, hence the swelling. At the same time, his pancreas is gently necrotising. At the moment, the fluid dripping into his system is sterile, but it could start coming from the dead section of the pancreas in which case he will get peritonitis, which might kill him. Or he could haemorrhage, which might kill him. He's currently having a blood transfusion and will be sent up to a ward when there's a bed for him, and tomorrow he's getting a chest tube for drainage and a metric ton of antibiotics.

He's going to be in hospital a week, and probably two or three.

And needless to say, he doesn't have insurance so it's going to be expensive. My boss knows about him, and so does the chief of gastroenterology, but we'll still be paying something and it's going to be a lot.

Edit before I go to bed:

Thanks for good wishes, and good luck to MM.

As ever when in a position of feeling helpless about a friend, I don't know what to say. Big hugs. xxx

I think the english is acute necrotising pancreatitis.

    evening ladies!
Hope you all didnt miss me too much over the weekend!? Not gonna be able to catch up, but read back the last couple pages - you all made me chuckle. I dont think I have done anything childish to pee someone off.....or else, i just cant remember!! lol
How is everyone? Any chance of a mini-update from anyone?

The childish angry thing I did once was to an ex lodger who told DH and I that she couldn't afford her rent, and would either move out or pay half rent for 3 months and then resume normal payments. We agreed since we'd be getting no rent if she moved out and didn't want to make life hard for a poor person.

The next saturday she came home with 7 shopping bags of clothes from the high street.

I waited til her next warm shower was underway. I did the washing up, fitfully, accompanied by little squeaks of '...omething wrong ith the water!' 'ooooh that ...looody cold!'.

    Bad weezl x

That sounds awful SS. Big hugs to you and Mr Sugar, and hope he feels better soon xx

Staying in today as the fence man is coming. Going to have another bash at potty training. I've got Charlotte in the right mindset as she keeps saying it's naughty to wee wee in trousers, and she's looking forward to wearing her Tombliboo knickers. Fingers crossed we get it sussed this time :D
Here I go again on my own....
