It's like we've swapped MM! :o We've just got three appointments this week, but two of them are together on Monday - physio and comms nurses plus a student - and then one on Thursday, but all at home :)
  • Evening everyone hope you're all ok?

had a look at the tesco glitch cant really find anythin i wana get except the sleepy timmy time for jas so i think il jus get that from toys r us, i dug out jakes old baby toys today cos jasmines not had a lot to play with bless her, anyway got the walking winnie the pooh out and she was giggling like mad!
went trafford centre today oh my god it was busy!! couldnt really look at anthing properly except in john lewis n debenhams cos they weren't as busy, never again on a saturday lol!

rmac, yes they get 20 teeth i counted jakes the other day, tbh i didnt really notice some of the later ones comin thru i dont think it bothers them as much later on, jasmine still no teeth yet!!

i think it was emlou that said about babe not likin water, jake has never drank water even now he wont drink it, but he is a fussy little sod up until recently he wouldnt drink cows milk, even now he only has a few sips. jasmine doesnt drink much through the day either? she only has 4 bottles as well and doesnt always finish them,

Caz, huge congrats! :j:j:j Very pleased for you.

Bruno, hope Elijha sleeps for you tonight and has a long lie :D

Ladybird, you could try reading a story to her while she is feeding/cuddling with the hope that you put her down half way through the story (get a book with lots of stories and just keep reading) continue reading while she is in her cot and hopefully you can cut out the prolonged cuddling and skip straight to the in cot, bedtime story. That's what I did with the boys, they always got a story to sleep from very young even though they didn't actually need cuddled to sleep. Will be doing the same to Amber soon, kinda of do it now, a little bit of mummy chattering while I put her down and soothing talk for a few mins before I run out the room :D

Although tonight Amber was left to cry herself to sleep, she was doing that 'I'm tired and it's all your fault!' cry and lashing about and no amount of me chattering was helping so I took her to her crib, tucked her in tight so she wouldn't kick covers off (covers tucked down the side of the mattress) and left her to it. 10 mins and she was sound. Heard her have a few grumbles while I was in my bath but evil mummy ignored her.

Sugarspun, Molly sounds lovely right now! :rotfl:Was it MM's man who said that he hadn't put as much white stuff down mummies tits? :rotfl:

Talking of bumbos, I'm getting Amber one when my high street shopping vouchers come through as an early christmas present.

The tesco glitch didnt work for me, what code are you all using (I'd be very grateful for a PM)?

awww R.Mac, I remember loosing teeth when I was little and alwasy sympathise with babies, it's horrible teething is, but I hope you all get some sleep soon.

  • elle, can we swap back please, thats 2 weeks in a row where I have had 1 day of nothing on and busy every other day !!!
I dont mind taking the pressure of you for a week now and then, but you can have them back !!! (obviously I am glad you get a rest though :p)

yes tia, Chris said to Dylan that he was very lucky, no one else would ever be allowed to put that much white stuff on mummies tits and she would be OK with it !!!

There is no code as such tia, just choose 3 toys (on 3 4 2 ) but make sure one of them is fisherprice, go to check out and it automatically deducts the cheapest item, then go to the evouchers code ( i think its in the top right of the screen) and it gives you the code in the box for £10 off fisherprice toys then back to checkout and it should be done :)

If it's any consolation, even our holiday is being interupted by an appointment! We're only away for full days Tues/Wed/Thurs and now we've got to spend all of the Thursday at Nottingham hospital! :(

Right, off to annoy my dad.. :o

Elijah has loved natural or greek-style yogurt since he was 6 months, too :) sometimes with fruit purees but also plain.

I'm hardly one to talk confidently about good sleep techniques :p but we found a natural progression into BF until he was droopy-lidded but not fully asleep, then carrying him into cot with a little mini-lullaby and walking away. It mostly works. The baby whisperer pick-up put-down method always sounded interesting, which is basically, you put them down, as soon as they cry you pick them up and comfort them but only for as long as it takes to stop crying, then put them down right away. Rinse repeat many many times (I think one example she gave with a stubborn baby involved her doing it 80+ times over 2-3 hours one night...), and supposedly if you're firm then within a few days it will sort things out. One alternative to controlled crying maybe.

What we do in general is, get him calm and peaceful in our arms by rocking or just cuddling for quite a while (a few minutes at least) then lower him down into the cot and keep contact with him - we found rhythmically patting his bottom worked quite well, again for at least a few minutes. Then disengaging but staying present for another couple of minutes before sneaking out, or starting again if he kicks off ;p not the best routine in the world but it's better than the screaming and the fighting :)

It's the bit in bold that worries me! I'm not the most patient person and am bound to give in! I tried it Thursday night and lasted about 5 times :o
Once I get the book and fully understand it I WILL DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, the little man has been awake since his 8pm feed and Daddy decided that he would 'play' with him for the last hour  Cue lots of Rocket Man and snogs (Jack dribbles all over OH and gives him sloppy kisses - what di I get hey? Diddly squat!) so Jack was a bit over-tired. Just got his bottle ready popped him in his sleeping bag on our bed will I put my PJ's on and he's flat out!

Was going to go to bed but OH has decided to build a towel rail  but there are parts missing typical!

I have a busy week next week

Monday - tiny stars with Sparkle (if she's up for it)
    Tuesday - baby massage
Wednesday - coffee with the girls (well, juice cos I hate tea/coffee!) and Jack's Imms :o
Thursday - OH might be taking me out for the day (depends when he gets start date for job)
Friday - RELAX WITH A PINT OF CIDER

I too didn't see much on the Tesco glitch so didn't bother!

JM - I HATE the Trafford Centre with a passion. Always too busy and I never ever see anything I want!!

Oh yeah and got my letter thru today for my '6 week GD check' (it's been cancelled twice - 25th January  What a joke!

Anyways, I'm off again now. Gonna put Jack in cot (he'll probably wake up althou hot water bottle is making it lovely and warm for him!

    Night all
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?
