    Hi all

back from a treacherous, stressfull journey Warrington to get the kids drawers from ikea!!! It was fine until we got to Warrington then the sludgy, icy road was so bad... Cars were sliding all over the place. A lorry had nearly blocked the slip road cos it couldn't make up as it was a slight incline... It just kept slipping back down!!! Cars had to take it one at a time and do a gentle run-up to get up it!!!!

Did someone mention pregnacare, I take those every day:)

Tara - not sure what to suggest, maybe ring nhs direct... Have you been giving nurofen alternate with the calpol as apparantly it's better for bringing high temps down!!!

    Mel x

Nothing is going to get better. It's not.

Right, clothes finally sorted. Have the following Pampers boxes full.. :o

    1. 7.5-7.8lb Tesco, Next, Mothercare and M&S
    2. 9lb-9.9lb Asda, MiniMode and Tu (plus 10lb a few Mothercare bits)
    3. 10-11lb Next, Bhs and Tesco

Waiting to see what size Pookie needs and after that anyone else (preg thread lurkers?) shout out if you want one of them. Might have to ask for a fairy post contribution though cos they're about £9 each to post and fairy purses are getting empty so near Christmas :o

Elle, David is coming up to 9lb :j so we could use bundle 2 or 3 and my fairies would be more than happy to pay postage! PM me if that is OK.
MFD maybe she feels lost in here i know a few do thats why they potter in and out x

:o It is scary joining in as a newbie but I am trying to keep up :o
The one thing children wear out faster than shoes is parents ;):o:D

  • I missed out on the Group 1 carseat discussion earlier in the week - keep meaning to go back and check :o But the Which Best Buy is this one which is on sale everywhere at £130.

Just need to look for a deal on one now...although we intend to stay rear facing for a while yet. Waiting for him to outgrow the Maxi Cosi.

OH suggested the other week we pay it off for her and she pays us back,

Tell him he needs slapping silly if he suggests it again. It'll make life so hard if she doesn't bother paying it back to you.
What could I buy for OH's mum? Shes erm 50 odd, loves arts and crafts, spinning, knitting etc, but can't really buy anything related to that as her house as every thing in it (I counted 3 spinnign wheels last time I was there!)
Food hamper or pamper hamper? Find a suitable box or buy a basket, fill it with goodies that she likes, wrap it in cellophane and add a bow - job done! What could be nicer - a personal hamper that shows the love and thought you put into picking things you know she likes best, or a crockery set ;)

Went sledging with Charlotte this afternoon. Took her down a really steep hill, and she was squealing and laughing like anything. She wants to go out again now, but I've promised her we can go out in the morning. I enjoyed it as well :o:D
Here I go again on my own....

    Did someone call?

Tara, Millie had swine flu we think, but she wasn't seen by a DR so I can't be sure, she was really terribly bad for a couple of days (high temps, bit confused, etc) it was quite scary and then she got better quite quickly (ie a couple of days later) then we had a dip where she was ill again but nothing like as bad for a couple of days and I would say it took a few weeks before she was really back to normal.

None of the rest of us caught it and from my understanding tamiflu is really no help at all unless taken within the first 48 hrs and only shortens the length of time they are ill rather than being of any real use, so we didn't bother with it.

I'm not on as much as I was for a variety of reasons but everythings fine with us and I am trying to keep an eye on here but didn't want to post without reading back cos I will no doubt have missed something important and hurt someones feelings.

I have half a jar of fenugreek capsules and some breastmilk storage bags for the fairies
    MFW Start Sep 07 £79484, Now £58774

The help thing says "When you order we take a £1 pre-authorisation payment from your card. The day your order we'll check your card to make sure the full order value Is there, and we'll only charge the full amount after your shopping is delivered."

    http://askamy.asda.com/asda/bot.htm?uid=278870624&

The money actually goes on the day, but I'm sure I've read that one of them (obviously not Asda from the above) pre-authorise your card with the full amount pre-offers so your available bank balance would reduce.
Thanks for that, I could of just look myself, didnt think of that  :o

Oh well that puts my mind at ease, going to get deliveries now, it's a mission shopping with a baby in tow, especially becasue my house is quite a walk from where I park my car.
