  • Tara, the numerous dr's I've seen last week with Jamie say they won't consider it swine flu unless a temp for over 5 days.

Hope he feels better soon x

Thanks. That's reassuring, although DS1 has been poorly since Monday and today was his first day out of his room. If it is then it is, but I want to know what to look out for and have been checking up in case. XXX

    How is Jamie now?
Too many children, too little time!!!
    :p
  • Oh that's sad :( I am not sure where I was hiding at the time

MM was a great leveller for me and I just kind of thought she must have got carried away having a RL. I struggle to keep up these days and often have to admit defeat and not read back, I guess that just happens once you start working and baby gets to be a bit of a handful :o

Speaking of which. Benjamin keeps trying to stand up on his own  he only manages a few seconds but he has definitely grasped the idea that letting go with his hands is the way forward :D

One ex-thread poster said they didn't want to read what people had for tea but wanted help and advice about parenting :(:o.

I struggle to keep up most days! But try my very bestest :D.

    Wow, Benjamin! :T

    BAAAAAAH!!!

OH's sister has bought his mum a Denby dinner plate set, £150 she spent, she says all smugly  OH WELL THEN YOU CAN EAT YOUR FROZEN FLIPPIN TURKEY OFF IT THEN!!

She ALWAYS has to outdo everyone, our present seems a bit crap now, a poncho and glove set (that I got free.....) Going to have buy something else now, it seems utterly pathetic in comparison. HOW CAN SHE SPEND THAT ANYWAYS SHE HAS DEBT! AND I KNOW BECAUSE FOR SOME REASON HER CREDITORS THINK SHE LIVES HERE AND SENDS HER STATEMENTS!!

OH suggested the other week we pay it off for her and she pays us back, NO, not if she can afford to buy expensive crockery (Oh and last year she gave me an eyeliner....yes just 1, and it was a "Miss Sporty" one to boot) Can you tell she doesn't like me?

What could I buy for OH's mum? Shes erm 50 odd, loves arts and crafts, spinning, knitting etc, but can't really buy anything related to that as her house as every thing in it (I counted 3 spinnign wheels last time I was there!)

Errr, I'm thinking a satnav type of thing? Because she always gets lost when driving and arguments happen because she doesnt listen when you read the map.

Anyone know of an el cheapo one?

    - Swine flu :( Hope his temperature goes down. I heard tamiflu didn't do much anyways?

    Yey for Benjamin standing!!

Yay for Benjamin and Toby standing and trying to walk!

More cuddles for Ben and some for older DS too.

Tamiflu's a bit like the morning after pill - it won't help if you've already got the flu but reduces the chances of you getting it if you've been exposed.

Poor Molly's just been screaming fit to rupture all of our eardrums - changed her and there was poop all up in her delicate regions, and it must have been a nasty acidy burny one from the way she was shrieking. Her undercarriage is all red and angry looking :(
We have nappy cream on her, but is there anything else we can do?

SB, kids are like a roller coaster aren't they, emotionally! :A

As for the thread, well for some Mums, particularly ones struggling to cope this thread keeps them going and chatting about anything is quite important, (as I know from previous experience :o).

The cream's a German one, I think I have one full of chamomile and herbs somewhere or else I'll steep a chamomile teabag into her bathwater later on.

When she's awake she'll be nappyless for a bit, she was so tired from all the screaming that she all but passed out :(

OK don't shoot me down in flames but an old trick my mum done was to whip up egg whites and put it on their bums nappy free, worked for my DS when all the creams failed. not sure how medically correct it is but it worked,
