Carla no idea, think in America they only make you wait 6 weeks after birth, presumably cos you could still be bleeding heavy and don't want to make you anaemic? 9 months is a lot though!

ETA: Bah, I'm not even heavy enough to give blood anyway - how bad is that!

OH is STILL asleep.. five hours and counting! On the bright side, so is Rhys, although he woke up 15mins ago so I put his dummy back in while I made his bottle and he's fallen asleep again without it :rolleyes:

Well I'm thinking I don't have Aids or HIV because I'm overweight and people with that are skin and bones! My skin isn't yellow tinged so I think I'm ok on the Hep front. I just have an irrational fear that I'm diseased. I will do it though, I see Aberdeen has a walk in centre and next tuesday is a day so I think I'll mosy on along.

Some of those Questions made me laugh elle, and why does anal sex stop you giving blood, ONLY if you are a man? Im pretty sure women can have aids too. Don't they screen it anyways?!

Are you a man who has had oral or anal sex with another man (even if you used a condom)?

can i ask what the difference is if your a man or a woman who has had oral/anal sex with a man????

Me and OH have been on holiday to Tunisia and Egypt - does that rule us out? :rotfl:

Don't know the answer to your question either. I think it's the old gay sex is more dangerous argument, possibly.

Also, what I don't get is, even if you are straight, you could of had oral/anal with a woman with aids, and likewise for a woman. What's guy/guy gotta do with anything? They should be asking the same Q's to both!

Also "Do you think you have aids" Well if I did, I don't think I'd be offering to donate my blood!

I can't give blood *shudder* I'm a scaredy cat and the afore mentioned feinting problem - when I have just one teeny sample taken it takes me at least 20mins to be able to stand up/walk :eek:

Anyway JL have a 6ft Christmas tree down to £40 from £80 do you think it'll be worth it? I don't mind the price if it's nice and will last years
