...sorry, I didn't realise your clipboard was a secret
I - in Keira-stylee - got blood! Papercut, hence stopping for a minApart from it's skin slashing properties, Morrisons wrapping paper is really nice - we have shiny blue with penguins for kids presents
Rhys is now in his swing.. Roaring tears, calmed down a bit with a tiny bit of Bonjela but I think it was mostly me rubbing his gums that he liked. He's quiet but not asleep. OH is still fast asleep, even through all the roaring!
ETA: Asleep now.. magic swing! The music will probably help OH stay asleep too.
Must get on.. few more presents then some tea0 -

The outreach midwives are talking about discharging Andrew from their care and handing over to the health visitors. Not a big deal, except that they take back the loaned hospital-grade double breastpump when they go .... leaving me with my single pump or facing a hefty rental bill for a double.
So today, we converted my Medela Swing into a double pump! Marley's suggestion - putting a Tpiece at the end of the short tube, and then attached two new tubes to run to two breast shields. We had to shorten the tube lengths to maintain good suction, and the unit has to be run at high-level suction now (as it's being split between two boobs), but it works!!!!! I actually got more out than I normally do with the hospital-grade pump!
So, they can discharge Andrew after New Year and I can carry on pumping :j :j :j :j
It IS a big deal :j. And well done Marley...very MSE!0 -

Hee hee, happy reading
I'm good thank you. Enjoying being on here in the evening for a change. I've missed chatting to everyone these past few weeks.
How is the love life? Is Lucy living with you already (you fast mover) or is she just staying over lots?
Currently debating whether to try and feed Caitlin again but as she's quiet at the moment, am going for writing Xmas cards (nope, still haven't done once since I came online about 2 hours ago ) and then try and feed her at 10:30.
OK, am going to write some cards now and keep an eye on the thread at the same time!!!0 -

MOTM, looked down at??? I personally have nothing but admiration for you!
Not on here really, although you get vibes about people and their responses, but that's just tough cos I am who I am and if that annoys people, then that's their problem. It's why it's sad people left, as everyone is welcome and i'd encourage trying to get those people back.
Most people are fine with me in life, but you will always get condescending and rude people wherever you go. In my case it's mainly people who think men shouldn't be single parents regardless of how revolting the mothers are. I still get the surprised 'single father, 7 girls' response, but that doesn't bother me, it's when people are the aforementioned condescending and rude that I then have words. On here I can't really do that, as it upsets morale and things can be taken the wrong way anyway, but I think most of us are intelligent enough tom understand what something means when we read it, just by looking at posters other posts over time, although it's other sections of the board that are mainly littered with such odd people.

15yo has since apologised and said she didn't mean it, especially as she hates her real mother, Lucy has forgiven and they are friends again. Girls understand that even though Lucy is going to act like a big sister or a friend to them as opposed to a mother, that as an adult with my blessing, she may ask them to do something. She also apologised to me and I know she didn't mean it.
15yo is fiesty on the outside, soft as sponge inside. I've kept her home from school for two days just so I can spend time with her and she's helping me with my work. She's more needy and 'damaged' by her mothers and needs more attention and when she feels like i'm neglecting her, she plays up. She's a good girl though, even if many think not.
Anyone who hasn't experienced teenagers, eventually will. It can be such fun at times and you'll never be prepared for it, even if you've been a teenage girl!money_maker wrote: »MOTM, some men need to be talked about in that way, and some will never be talked about in that way.
I dont think for one second I am the only one on here who has nothing but admiration for you doing it on your own when so many dads walk away.
You and Bruno are probably the best 2 men around and your new GF is very lucky to have you
I know I dont ask much about your girls as you dont seem the type of person to give too much away about your family, but your twins arent much older than Jas and I talk anbout my princess nightmare all the time, so you could easily help me !!!
Well, I couldn't walk away and leave them with nothing, not that I ever had any intention. I don't understand why parents do, but that's life and I know I do my best, even though I beat myself up for not being a perfect dad.
I don't give too much away, although I posted their names the other day. I don't overly trust the internet or people outside of my girls full stop and i'm very overprotective as they've lost their mothers. I do the work of 3I'm not perfect, but no-one could ever accuse me of not putting them first and giving them everything i've got.
How is your princess nightmare? She was cuddling her little brother the other day in your pic0 -
I've told hubby about my spending spree, his response was "I had better get some when I get home then"
spoke to my sister too, she had a big superman flying esqe fall at her ice skating exam today and almost feinted twice and nearly puked(its an inherited trait in our family that we feint at anything and everything
) She managed to recover and troop on to pass her level 7 and 8 though :T
