Dinner Time
I made chicken pasta in tomato sauce....I made it for 5pm which meant we would be eating an hour earlier than normal and Kai would be eating an hour later, but I was hoping that if we are all sat eating he will copy!
He was really hungry when I put his bib on and put him in his highchair, and he started grabbing the pasta spirals straight away...he was really unsure of them, but I ignored him and we all just carried on eating our own dinner. I glanced over occasionally smiling at him and saying encouraging words to him and he slowly started eating...he did tip all the pasta out of the bowl, throw the bowl on the floor and started banging the pile of pasta like a drum......but all good fun, he ate about half and better than that there were no tears:)
I will aim to do dinner at this time each day now and hope for continued success!
If he doesn't eat much at dinner time I can always give him a bit of toast after his bottle at 7pm as this is when the boys have there supper.Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

It's just that there aren't really any progress reports to give. He's not particularly cooing or making noises. He's learning that sucking on his hands is comforting, but struggles to hold his hands up to his mouth unless he's on his belly. I think he's beginning to find it frustrating being in the moses basket, as he can't see us out of the sides, but he doesn't really like being on his floor playmat or in his freecycled bouncy chair, and he can't have his new cushion or activity chair until he opens his Christmas presents! I think I'm just a little sad and frustrated that he doesn't seem to be progressing right now.
Most of the time your fine but every now and again you have a wee wobble? I know it's hard, but when Andrew does reach a milestone, the elation you will feel will make up for it all, I promise. (((hugs)))
He's saving himself for a big leap in a few weeks, just you wait.
And why can he not get an early christmas present? I'm sure Santa would OK it.0 -
DH is depressed because his Xbox 360 has the ring of death so has to be sent away and repaired (for free) and he will be without it over Christmas. The boys are equally depressed. And my head hurts.
Off to bath the boys soon, then put them to bed, feed and bed Amber, do the dishes, iron clothes for school and then veggie.0 -

Hmmm tia ds1 wants an xbox for xmas, dh is a PS3 fan and they already have one in their room, we also have one downstairs but all his mates have xboxes! I am hoping to get the 'new version' apparantly there have been no reports of rrod so far:)
eta off again now, need to get tree and decs down from attic and make a bottle for Kai, then get him into bed and the boys are going to 'help' put the tree up!!! This is a first, I normally do it myself but they have been asking if I will let them help...Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
