Boo I think it's a combination of post-pregnancy hair loss and stress. It's been coming out in handfuls when I wash it, I'm just wearing it in a plait to keep it from getting pulled on and pulled out.

    Afternoon All :hello:

Sorry :o I don't tend to join in with the "he's smiling now!" kind of posts about babies' progress - it's so different with Andrew being an extreme preemie, and still very small for his age. Joe Public still think he's a newborn when he's out in his buggy. I shouldn't complain, because at least I can still carry him in one arm whilst doing other things.

For anyone interested / wanting to be amazed at the different advice you get when you have a dinky one, this is the leaflet I was given by the dietitian the other day. Tells you to "thickly spread toast with butter and jam", "pour melted butter over vegetables", "encourage pastry foods like sausage rolls" and "spread chocolate spread on biscuits".. :o _pale_

And, thinking on the above, where is Millie's Mum these days? Just wondering how Ello is getting on with her weight now.. :)

Tigs, I'm sorry if it bothers you that I tend to post these sorts of updates, I don't want it to look like I'm smug about her or make you uncomfortable - I don't know even if it does, but if it does I'm sorry :(

I'm interested in Andrew's progress though, at whatever speed he makes it :)

Hi Tigs, I think everyone just likes to know how Andrews doing. I know when you first had him I used to lurk on here a bit to see if there were any progress reports, IIRC you were due near my due date but I might be completely wrong on that :o

On the hair subject, I started losing mine at 4. They've always said 'something' could trigger it to start growing again, but nothing so far has. Ive just swapped from a really long wig to a short bob so that when Isla starts grabbing I shouldnt hopefully have an embarrassing wig pulling incident

wow. thanks boogellyboo, this hair flling out thing is making me quite upset atmif im totally honest! I have 2large clumps ateither side of my head that are getting very thin, t the extent that you can see my scalp when my hair is scraped back.
I know this may be very minor compared to your situation, but i just dont really know how to deal with it yet......it happened with Katie but not to the extreme as it is now. I just noticed a lot more hair in my hairbrush etc, but this time, its clogging up the drain when i wash my hair .
    Carla-Farla!! :)

Thanks Jillie, SS & Boo - yes, Andrew was originally due on 3 November so pretty close to your little monkey.

It's just that there aren't really any progress reports to give. He's not particularly cooing or making noises. He's learning that sucking on his hands is comforting, but struggles to hold his hands up to his mouth unless he's on his belly. I think he's beginning to find it frustrating being in the moses basket, as he can't see us out of the sides, but he doesn't really like being on his floor playmat or in his freecycled bouncy chair, and he can't have his new cushion or activity chair until he opens his Christmas presents! I think I'm just a little sad and frustrated that he doesn't seem to be progressing right now.

Tigs, I found that quite frustrating with Molly too, but she seems to have spurts of new things and then seems to coast for a while and enjoy doing all her new stuff.

Carla, I have to empty the shower drain while washing my hair and again at the end of the shower :( It really bothers me cause my scalp's on display in a couple of places and my part's much wider than before :(

Boo, that's an inspired wig change - do you mind if I ask if something triggered the hair loss or if it just happened?
