Mine is put out too Krystal, despite having arranged a night out with his friends next Friday, and the night before Xmas Eve, he was hoping to go for a meal with another friend tomorrow night. But me and Erin have booked tickets to New Moon, tough t!ttys! Then he wants to know if I'll go get him next Friday once he's finished. Hmm, 3 young kids in the back of the car, 1am, hour round trip, he can sleep in the bus shelter!!!
Too many children, too little time!!!

Worked for me the second time too a bit... I kept forgetting though but that could have been because I had music playing a bit longer than the first time...

Congratulations on status viable too :)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Thanks Sami i have a chest of drawers near a plug so will put a mat on there so they'll think i'm v.clever mwahaha little do they know i have you guys guiding me :p

I do feel more relaxed. My sis said i was daft as she knew i didn't want one before, and that it would have been okay so i shouldn't compromise as it'd have been ok. But i really feel so much better knowing i won't be sat in the hospital with new baby worrying if dog is uncomfortable with her legs crossed, or that DS is missing me too much and worrying about me being in hospital, or getting to school on time.

My friend doesn't understand either, and i think she's taken it personally but like i said to her, although i apprciate her offer to help, there is too many time resrictions on it and everything 'depends' on her work, sisters work, sisters babysitters etc etc. At least now i don't have to worry if i go into labour in the middle of the night and can't get anyone to come and get DS/get me to hospital.

Beenie fantastic news on the planned home-birth:D
I don't want to put a dampener on your mood but have you someone on-call in case you need to transfer to hospital either urgently or otherwise?

After I had ds3 we had to nip in just to have his cord checked by a consultant because the midwife was concerned about it. We didn't have to rush and I phoned a friend who lived locally and she came around to stay with the older two while we went. It was about 10.30 and we were back by 11.30 so only a quick,non-urgent visit thankfully.....I am just worried that you say it will be easier as you don't now have to rely on anyone, yet labour can be very unpredicatable and a lady at my mums n tots group had to be rushed in alone because her husband had to stay behind with the kids as their standby person lived 30min drive away!!!!!

Really only want to make sure you have everything covered:)

Can I ask a question of anyone who has the Maxi Cosi car seat please (possibly MFD as I think Sami mentioned this a short while ago)?

Do you have a base for the seat or are you fixing it with seatbelts? Both hubby and I have bases in our cars but they both sit the car seat at different angles so that he is more upright in 1 car than the other (happens even when we swap them over).

So what I am saying is - can you lay the seat back a bit so she is sat less upright?

If she is squished then I would remove the wedge and check the positioning of the seat. You are still leaving the head-hugger bit in aren't you? Just remove the bit of foam and leave the head hugger bit in the seat for now.

Hmm - not sure if I have helped at all :o

  • Evening ladies.

My baby has started to give kisses to other people :( am I wrong to be really sad about it? For weeks and weeks he has only given kisses to me, occasionally to his dad, more so in the last week. But today he was giving them to MIL and her partner :(

    Boo hoo!!

Edit - off to catch up properly.

    Thanks MFD.

Yes, we have the Isofix base. Maybe it is just the angle of the seats in my car. OH doesn't have a base in his car - we just swap cars if he is taking Holly out. The head hugger bit is still in. We raised it to the higher level to give her more room when the wedge was in, but the Baby Sensory woman lowered it again when she removed the wedge as there was more room at the bottom.
Anyway, I don't think we can reposition the seat. Hmm, not sure what to do.
  • hmmm, decided that pic of my tree doesnt really show off Jasmines decorations that she made, so heres another one to show them better !!
