    Happy Christmas Everyone!

I've just heard on the news that there are officially NO calories, NO fat, NO carbs in any food from now until midnight on boxing day. Amazing or what? Enjoy!! (Actually made that up. But it would be nice if it were true .... wouldn't it.)

Happy Christmas all. Was looking forward to relaxing at home with the family. Until disaster struck at around 8:30 am. Central Heating broke  No heating or hot water. Visited my old mum early this morning to get a heat and a shower, then back home to hibernate under my duvet until the heating engineer has sorted it. Turns out it's the circuit board and he's off to meet his colleague who has a spare one in the van

At least now I may feel like crawling out from under my duvet to make dinner.

  • Hi everyone

I used to belong to this group a year ago and managed to lose 32 pounds.

I am ready to lose the next 35 pounds and would like to rejoin if that's ok. I started again today with calorie counting as I've food allergies (fish, wheat & gluten) that it's the easiest way for me to do it. It took me a year to lose 32 pounds and I've been stuck at the same weight for nearly 5 months now.

I stopped smoking 3 days ago and this is going to cause me loads of problems, as I've practically eaten non stop for 3 days now lol!

Unfortunately I've not given up out of choice but because I'm having a rather large shoulder operation end of Feb. I had a nasty experience under anaesthetic last year and had to be woken up after a nasty asthma attack and had to have the surgery a week later. This was because I gave up smoking 6 wks previously which is apparently the worst thing I could have done as 6 wks is just enough time to mess your lungs up completely, before they start to recover (according to my anaesthetist) I should have carried on smoking or have given up two months before, that's what I'm doing now.

I know that there are some nice people on here and that will keep me motivated and on track.

    Cheers

Hope everyone is managing to stick to their diets, I'm afraid I'm not even trying. :o Far too many nice things for eating at this time of year and most within easy reach of me. I guess it'll be a new start for me for 2010. :D
