Sorry to hear your news dmv - always a big adjustment to make when someone you love dies, stay strong & <<hugs>> for you. My MIL starts chemo in the next couple of weeks and the doctors have given her chances as 50/50, but she's a determined lady and I'm willing to bet she's going to pull through. Only thing is that we won't be able to see her at Christmas but OH is going to set them up with a webcam so that should be fun for us all!!!

Hello & welcome orangepoppy :D I've recently dug out my slow-cooker again and there's nothing like walking in the door at the end of a busy day to the warming smell of a delicious casserole - I love it!!

My second interview is 9am on Monday so I treated myself to a new purple silk blouse from Wallis today, reduced by 20% in the Debenhams sale - very MSE!! looks great under a black jacket and will hopefully boost my confidence enough to get me through ;)

We're taking my Mum out to lunch tomorrow to celebrate her 87th birthday - my bro' is in charge of getting a cake so god knows what we'll end up with!!! I've looked at the restaurant's menu online and I should be able to stick to my food combining okay but I think the cake will do some damage! Planning a visit to the gym in the evening to undo any calorie overload.

Good luck with the interview Hezza. (I think Beanie was coining Best of Scottish as opposed to Best of British Mazza, but I could be wrong ) I have my interview on Wednesday afternoon this week and am desperately trying not to think about HOW MUCH I WANT IT! :rotfl:

:j3.2lb loss :j Finally undoing all my bad work of the last month.

Warnig self indulgent bit to follow - Been doing this losing weight thing now for a year. I am well chuffed that I have lost around 2 and a half stone and at least two dress sizes. I am so much fitter now than I was previously - I mean if you told me last October that I would jog 10miles and feel amazing at the end I'd've thought you were mad. I still enjoy people politely making comments about my weight loss, although no one was rude when I was bigger and I wasn't unhappy it was very noticeable that I was bigger than average (I could see it in photos). And then there's the continuing boost to my vanity of being a size 12, properly in every shop, I think I was aged 14 last time a 12 was my usual size. Anyway this has been a happy year for me and I think i've built the mindset to stay this way. Her ends the self indulgence.

Great post Vixstar! Congrats on your successful year! :D That's not self indulgence, it's good to review things over the longer term, that's where you really see the difference and the results of your efforts! :D Sounds like you're enjoying your new trimmer & fitter self. Good luck heading into Year 2, who knows what achievements you'll be posting this time next year!
