I agree, surely it's a physical impossibility to limit yourself to only one M&S cranberry & orange hot x bun? I've never been able to.

Victory, I don't have an answer for you re. the cravings, except that I know hypnotherapy has had a very positive effect on some people who have a weakness for certain trigger foods. I'd seriously consider getting it done for bread for me.

  • hello all!

victory - food and your relationship to it will be emphathised, im sure, with so many people here. no matter how many times wer are told what bad stuff are in it, what it does for our health or whatever, to some of us there will be a constant desire and need to full fill it, no matter what its supposed to be doing to us. what is important is to try and manage these feelings as much as you can. the first step at least is to recognise that you have this realtionship with food. managing and controlling this relationship, well thats they were all here.....
sorry i cant give you any exact advice, but i just want you to remember that we are all here and understadn exactly how you feel. next time you feel threatened or obsessed with food, just come on here and rant about it for 20 mins, we'll be here to listen.

well, weekend has been ok. main meals are fine but its all the snacks and we are still polishing off the birthday food...
    food for today
    red day:
B - toast (HEB) quorn burgers (1 syn) 2x egg

so basically, i stuffed my face.....

oh well, that is most of the party food over with now....will have to be much much better, will go for a l o n g walk tomorrow to try and compensate a but!!

Oh I do recognise it, just how to handle it that is all:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Woken up with a 'must clean everything that does not move' so hurriedly moving furniture cleaning behind, re potted all my indoor plants yesterday, want to go and do something outside but it is raining so will go to boots instead and get loads of £5 vouchers to buy no 7 stuff with. Everyone else is rotting in bed a s per a usual sunday morning, can't stand that feel it is a waste of time, time that could be used wisely elsewhere, no one wants to help with the house work so they hide in bed:rotfl:

Might look at ebay and put my peter kay tickets on, see how much they go for, OH said yesterday he can't see himself going across to Spain/France on his motorbike because of lack of funds, another dream bites the dust, I told him he must, so it is car boot sales, peter kay tickets, his bike bits and bobs all goes and we can then see if we can afford to let the poor man that works a minimum of 10 hours a day to have his dream come true:D

granny That's great news about your leg. So glad you'll be on the mend soon if you'e a good girl and do what they tell you. :j:j. Belated HSthbdayparty-1.gif

    sary you're cake is fab!!

Margaret That's great that you've found a pool that you can use. I hope it's not too far away and you'll be able to use it alot. It'll be great exercise for you but I can see why you're DH would be wary. My dad has had both knees done and he's the same about looking after his. Thank you for your wise words too.
victory if you're having a housework day the bring your butt to my house. I've been gutting and cleaning this place since yesterday - OH is working overtime all weekend (more work based drama). Honest its not dirty just cluttered! :o. The joys of trying to get the house ready to put it up for sale. I was going to ask if your OH was still doing his trip (I was watching the Charley Borman (sp) Race to Dakkar last night and it reminded me) I hope he still manages to go - what an adventure that would be.

We have watched Charlie as you can imagine loads of times:rotfl:I do hope so, money is too tight to mention again but that is always going to be the case, 10 days to pay day:D

The sun is out so I doing the shed it is leaking water, OH keeps putting it off money wise but in between the contents are getting so damp and spotty with rot the cost of repair surely outweighs the balance of fixing:D

    Hi everyone,

Feeling a bit demoralised, :( although I'm exercising 3 times a week - I'm not seeing the results on the scales. I have cut back on the stuff that I would normally gorge on but I haven't taken any drastic measures because I find that if I focus too much on food, I end up reverting to my old ways. I have made gradual changes such as having porridge for my brekkie (sometimes I wouldn't have anything or snack on tea & biscuits) and now sticking to having skimmed milk, only having 1 sugar in my tea etc. I've stopped buying sandwiches because I would have a packet of crisps & a bar of chocolate!

Just wondering what other small things I could do that won't make me feel like I'm depriving myself?

I'll be seeing my doctor on the 14th April for my blood pressure checkup and she'll check my weight as well, which I would like to see going the other way.

Tesscha maybe try looking at your portion sizes - I couldn't work out why my exercise and nearly no junk routine wasn't working then I started WW and found out tht I was eating at least twice as much of everything as I should. Its a little hard at first and bulking up meals with salad and veg (not potatoes helps) but eventually your stomach shrinks. I can no longer physically eat the huge portions I was doing without pain.
