Right get the worst bit over with ... 1lb gain though I thoroughly enjoyed eating everything that caused it so it's not all bad :rotfl:Though I'm now determined to have a sensible week which has led to me getting some funny looks in the office as I've munched my way through whole raw carrots!
Victory I agree with Vix that an all in one can look as good if not better than a bikini. Was suprised how slimming they were when I tried them on last summer followed by extremely annoyed about how all the nice looking ones were totally unsupportive - so ended up with one that looked like it was made for school swimming lessons!
Magret Clare Well done on the dress size.
Heatherberry Well done on owning up to your gain I think that's why this group is so good because it helps you acknowledge your blips and then everyone supports you to overcome them.
Mazza Don't binge you know it won't make you feel any better.
For more specific comments I think I may have to reread 3 pages of messages but...
:j:T:j to all losers and STSers0 -
Eric, there is a difference between not eating what your granny wouldn't recognise, and going back 50,000 years.
I seem to have gone right off potatoes in any shape or form. Maybe because I've been to one or two Anglo-Saxon themed dinners, and of course, there were no potatoes until the 17th century. No sugar until about that time either until the plantations in the West Indies. The Anglo-Saxons used honey for sweetening, and their preferred drink was mead - now that's lovely stuff.
There was flour, but the Anglo-Saxons used spelt rather than modern forms of cereal crops. My ancestors in the Yorkshire Dales used oatcakes rather than bread - it's a bit like thick porridge spread out on a bakestone to cook and then hung up until required. Generations of them did hard manual work on oatcake, cheese and skimmed milk.
For swimsuits, try the Triumph range which are made along the same lines as their Doreen bra. Or a tankini.Ær ic wisdom funde, ær wearð ic eald.

Just had a look at one and whilst it would definitely solve the support problem it's not quite what I had in mind - though could be useful for serious swimming sessions0

Hi everyone,
Sorry I havent been posting, have been away and now just found out I didnt get onto the PGCE I applied for (2000 applicants for 75 places, bloody economy!) and because my interview was cancelled in Jan because of the weather my second choice uni is already full so thats that. Basically feeling very naff.
Reporting a loss of 0.5lbs it was more than that a few days ago before i went on a depressed constant takeaway and choc binge...
