Pepop: Love the baby shoes and box, that is a really lovely gift!

I've been trying to watch as much of the olympics as possible but i am appalled at the coverage the BBC is giving this. It is awful. Even with sky plus, and the red button i feel i am missing on everything! Its like now, a recording of last night is playing and we have come in on the LAST end of the mens curling. I get very angry, i feel like writing in ha.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh guess what! matt and i are going to see kings of leon in hyde park this summer :) woo!! Gunna try and get a hotel room too i think.

Had my scan today, that was bloody awful. Im going to the harvester for lunch because i had frosties with a load of milk in the day before yessterday, had the runs the next morning and im still dodgy now. Thank god when you have an MRI scan you can fart freely with no one else being in the room :D
  • lol vix.

Had to have an early lunchtoday. it would seem that cookie crisp as a breakfast cereal does not provide the kind of slow release energy that keeps you full till lunch.

    who'd have thought it?

Just a quick one, whilst on break!

Thanks for the chart fredsnail you're doing a fab job, I really appreciate it.

Hello to all the newbies...stay connected!

And its friday...way!! I am so happy, some rest for me. After posting my loss on tuesday, I went and scoffed a number of pancakes down with chocolate on top and honey.....

So since then I have been trying to be really good so that the scales are kind to me next Tuesday, I am learning more about why I snack/binge etc late at night, lets just say I need to stay away from all the external prompts...the family leaving cake/chocolates around, the adverts on the telly..the unhelpful thoughts I tell myself when I have a lapse 'oh...you've already ruined today, might as well eat that left over cheesecake'. I try to encourage everyone at home to eat healthier but they are not ready yet...so this weekend I have a list of things to do, to stop me thinking of food glorious food..

    Not such a quick one..eh!

    Have a grand weekend every1

    QT x
  • Got a can of coke and a 125g bar of chocolate on my desk...and tripped over onto this thread......well, it's been on my agenda for a while (since Jan) to go out and do lose some weight (aka return to my pre-marital weight 190lbs). I'm now 243lbs - 5'11', officially obese :-), and to start with I'm aiming for the 5lbs a month target.

I'm on MSE most days of the week...so glad to join you guys in the MISSION - determined to stick with it this time around and make it through with dear MSE'rs

Went out for a chinese meal with friends last night and managed to eat a sensible amount AND stick to a relatively small amount of alcohol so hopefully not too much damage. Planning on getting up early tomorrow to try and get a cheap travelodge room and go for a quick mile and a half run, and then there's a 10k I've signed up for on Sunday which could be interesting but at least its guaranteed weekend exercise.

I never watch any 'weightloss' programmes or those sort of public vote tv shows (am I the only one? :p) but being a bit of a winter sports addict I have to admit the tv is on more than usual at the mo :o;).

    Hope everyone's doing OK.

Missy - I dont watch any kind of reality tv show, cant stand it, car crash tv in my book, and I know I'm alone in that! BB, X Factor, Strictly, you name it as soon as they come on I change channel, must be some kind of gag reflex. The closest I get is How to Look Good Naked which I love and I always blub at the end, at least Gok works with what the lady already has & teaches her how to use it to best advantage, rather then trying the change her (unless you count his liberal use of support undies!!)

Had another session in the gym the other night and did 20 mins on the treadmill, first time for a while, found out that I can run for 6 mins without collapsing so thinking about taking up running (outside) again when the weather warms up a bit. I tried it last year but couldn't run for more than a couple of mins at a time, really pathetic. I feel more confident now that I can do better: note to self - replace battery in pedometer!

Found out today that I was 2nd choice for yet another job, hey ho always the bridesmaid .... :p - have resolved to do something drastic with my cv this weekend and really beef it up! Downloaded something the other day on how to make a really impactful personal statement so will start with that.

Just me and DS this weekend, everyone else is out & about so we're planning on going swimming tomorrow, then to the library to get a DVD, then the evening snuggled up on the sofa with pizza, garlic bread and a fleece blanket. Hope the swim on Saturday will offset the pizza etc plus I'm booked in for aqua-aerobics on Sunday morning so chance to work it all off again! :)

Hezza You're not the only one who doesn't watch any reality TV - I don't either though partly because I don't want to get hooked!
    Sorry about the second job.
  • Vix - thank god for that! I thought I was the only one on the planet with an aversion to trash tv!!

And thanks for the sympathy, I've recovered from my big disappointment earlier in the week (long saga) and the gym certainly helped! Onwards, the right job is just around the corner!! :D
