POOHBEAR your 0.25lb loss can't have messed up the chart I don't think my 3lb gain helped tho. And I'm dreading tomorrow morning's weigh in as I have a nasty feeling it'll be another gain - my plan to exercise every day went somewhat awry, though my eating wasn't as bad a it had been previously. Oh well easier to make little changes.0

NYK - Approaching 50 is no reason not to get back on a horse! My dad and his gf own a stables so take it from the person who has spent my teenage years riding and working there - I have seen horse owners carry on riding into their 70's! 50 isn't too old to start riding as a hobby, so its certainly not to old to get back in the saddle again. Plus its all extra exercise doing something you enjoy, which cant be bad.
Food today has been suprisingly good so far. Had a cooked breakfast at morrisons but not a huge greasy one if you know what i mean. While I was there I saw someone eating a gorgeous cheesecake in the cafe so have to admit buying one..but havent touched in yet! Have lasted all the way through the day on my breakfast, and will now pig out on a stew! Stew is one of my comforting winter meals where I like to feel stuffed lol. Has been bubbling away for hours smelling gorgeous, just need to put the mash on now. Will have enough for tomorrow aswell so no cooking then which is good. I put a lot of veg in my stews as i love the way it tastes cooked like that, dont think i would want to make it without the beef but as the mash is limited I think its a relatively healthy meal.
Enjoy the drinks MAZZA!0 -
Once again I find myself at the doors of the "Losing Weight" thread. Let my battle commence again (hopefully the last time
)
This time I am not doing cambridge or slimming world but doing it Bindiboo style. Cutting out the crap, not snacking between meals unless its fruit or yogurts and bulking meals out with plenty of salad and veg and really cutting out bread to the bare minimum. Plently of water, drinks etc etc.
Started Tuesday 3rd Nov.
After seeing a shocking picture of myself at a wedding last weekend it has spurred me into action. Everytime I think I want a biscuit or feel hungry I think of that photo!!!!!
So can i go back on the chart please guys and keep me going with encouragement
No problem - do you want to start at a 0 loss or are you taking up again from where you left off?0 -
Isn't it interesting that lots of us are finding it a bit tougher over the last couple of days? I wonder if we're all 'in sync' with our eating like girls' TOTMs who live together? :rotfl: or maybe we're all in sync with that?
I'm another who feels like I've been eating more recently, although I actually don't know if this is trueIt's so strange how perception can be warped with no way to 'tell' what's going on - no mirrors, scales etc. It's actually quite revealing just how the mind plays tricks on us.
I wish I was able to exercise more, as I am really missing this part of life, especially now I am well enough to be doing it again! And I saw my dog on Skype yesterday, who I was walking twice a day; I miss her loads!! I've resigned myself to just waiting until OH's parents arrive in just over a month for our next Himalayan adventure, possibly in snow :j Then there'll be the 3 months spent walking home with a huge rucksack on in -20 to help too :rotfl: We walk everywhere here too so I'm sure that must help; it's such a shame how dependent we are on our cars back home. If possible work wise, we're hoping to give one of ours up once we're back.
Good luck with WIs this week everyone; I'll post one if I can.
And welcome back Bindi! :TThe 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

vikstar I remember posting on here a couple of weeks ago my plan of exercise for the week. It didn't happen either. BUT every week is a new one, so, I am going to start afresh. Forget last week and look forward to next:)
Bails, Your life sounds amazing. By the time you have finished the next walk you will be even more svelte and will have seen all those amazing places.
I thought the eating more might be due to the weather getting colder too. Or am I making excuses.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

I have recently rejoined the fold too. :hello::hello:
I have also given up on SW etc as my pocket couldn't afford it but I did continue to lose a bit with it. Now I am back to Healthy Eating and cutting down portion size. I am finding it quite easy, except the chocolates, toffees, wedding last weekend, etc. No, seriously I believe it is the way to go now to take it off and keep it off.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Thanks for all the encouragement, folks. I do want to lose the extra weight gained since quitting smoking, honest.
The miserable weather combined with my being lame for the past couple of months combined with the very short days have all been contributing factors and pigging out in front of TV whilst snuggled under a duvet just seems such a great thing to do at this time of year. :rotfl: Sorry, I never used to be able to see the appeal in that but I do now. DS says I should cut the 'no eating rule' to 7pm to make up for the early nights, so I'll probably follow his suggestion, much as I hate admitting that 20 y-o health freak son is right!
I'm still not on any sort of diet, just eating smaller portions of everything - even the 3 C's - so I should make the most of today's sunshine and go for a walk to the forest.I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

cool wanna be [STRIKE]diet[/STRIKE] healthy eating new start, BUDDIES? I will be weighin in on Tuesday morning so wish me luck... I am in good spirits today and am not feeling hungry which in my cambridge days would mean that I have gone in to a ketosis state...... I wonder if that is what has happen or its just my stomache getting used to the change. Still got some testing sticks so might check tomrw morning just for curosity sakes. How r u doing? Ahhhh the sun is even shining down here (even though its cold brrrrrrr)0 -
Bindi it was cold and sunny here too, have had the heating on all afternoon.
Poohbear thanks for the encouragement, as you say tomorrow is a new week - onwards and upwards with less alcohol and more exercise.
And for the chart it's a 1lb gain0
