  • victory - your last post made me smile!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: It's hilarious how we can obsess over food; my current "pash" is for a peanut butter sandwich - I can hear it calling to me every time I walk into the kitchen.... help....hel....

Off to the dentist today, just for a check up but the first time I've been in years. At last we have a new dentist in town who is accepting new NHS patients, so if I do need something major doing at least it wont cost an arm or a leg (or a tooth - hopefully ); here I am going on at the kids all the time about good oral hygiene and marching them to their check ups regular as clockwork, yet I don't do it myself. Having an appointment looming is also a great deterrent against eating - once I've brushed & flossed I don't want to spoil my chances of a clean bill of health later!!

:rotfl::rotfl:You got me laughing so hard with your post too victory I know EXACTLY what you mean for the last week I have been eating a slice of toast with butter at like 10pm . But I kno its not good really!

I went out with my m8s on the weekend and had a good time, I am pleased that I only had a 1/4 chicken (breast) and some spicy rice at nandos...tho I must admit I have a few chips and some perinaise (i love it!)

Hope you all had a good weekend!!

    Morning all!

Hope everyone's doing OK and looking forward to a good week! :D

Welcome to the newbies since my last post! Good luck with reaching your targets.

I had a good week last week, kept below my calorie target (12.5% deficit) and plenty of activity: 75km cycling (inc 51km off road), 33km running, swimming (50x25m) and my weekly diving lesson. Sig updated with my challenge progress :)

Still don't think I've lost any body fat - but since I know I was over my calories the week before last, I'll be happy with a STS(ish) this month. Weigh in is on Saturday.
  • lol victory, so true.

Well I am trying to be firm with myself today and get back to sw priciples.
Bkfast was a boiled egg and quorn sausage.
I might pop over the sw thread for this week to try and keep me focussed and up to speed, but fear not, I can no more desert this thread than walk past spare wood in the street 'that might come in handy sometime'. (Round here, people put old furniture and bts of wood out for any passer by to take.)

Welcome eric - really impressive dealing with debts.:T Sorry your accountant left it so late to break the latest news to you though:(.

Welcome too Mrstewieo - very impressive 10lb loss so far.

MAzza - wouldn't have a clue what to wear to a rock club:D

Worked really hard yesterday putting up loads of shleving (from supply of previously mentions scavenged wood). Got to cut more wood today but my body is protesting somewhat. Still I love the shelves so much and I hope it will go a big way to keeping our place tidy.

Sitting here in sunshine allowing myself a slow start to the day.

Morning:D have woken up singing:D there's a change:rotfl: ist feb paid, went shopping at the weekend, lovely to get some nice food in, had a look at the £10 M&S deal but they had hardly any choice left so we did not get it, maybe another time.

So, went shopping passing the end of the bread aisle there it was, love to toast big red sticker saying it had been reduced to £1 a loaf, no I thought no devil no, so walked on but the trolley went back and grabbed it, had a quick look around to see if anyone was looking, threw it in and ran off:rotfl::rotfl: came home and put it away but it kept talking to me when I went into the kitchen I could here things 'I am over here, you have tried to hide me but you know I am here, lovely toasted with butter, come on you know you want to' so I go and sit in the living room where I can't hear it calling me, the ad on the tele is kingsmill bread, tell us your confessions:rotfl: so I start rationalizing and talking to myself 'you haven't had any bread for 3 weeks, a couple of slices won't hurt':D then the devil says 'puff, like she can only have 2 slices, you make me laugh it is like pringles once you pop:rotfl::rotfl: so I have 2 slices, feel so utterly guilty(101 cals per slice for 202 cals I could have had this and that and felt fuller for longer etc) hate it then as a punishment to the bread freeze it:rotfl::rotfl: what a trauma over a bit of bread:rotfl: it just comes down to one simple thing over and over DON'T BRING IT INTO THE HOUSE IN THE FIRST PLACE:rotfl::D

Thanks Victory - you're so funny - I was laughing so much when I read this that DH wanted to hear it too! :rotfl:

    Hola

It was the big weigh in for the competition this morning, so we went along with an air of confidence that we might be in with a chance, but we were robbed! Two guys shared the first prize, and they deserved it, as they'd both lost 16lbs, in one month! I got the 3rd prize, which I was quite happy with.

I wouldn't have cared if I hadn't won anything, as the competition really focussed our minds and we've got into a routine of doing exercise regularly and we're enjoying it, so hopefully we can lose half a stone every month - that will be another 2 stone by the end of May so we'll be feeling a lot better about ourselves and how we'll look in the wedding photo's.

Have a good week everyone, I'll pop in again to post this week's results on Wednesday, after we've done a 5 mile walk.

:D. Have just justified another sit down by sawing two 5ft planks, on top of yesterdays six, & paid a bill. Oooh, feel that toasty sunshine...

Lois - well done and 3rd prize too. Bet the other guys and stones on their pockets at the initial weigh in. Great start to the next 5 months countdown.
