What a good idea for a thread! We have just moved the date forward from Dec 2010 to Oct 2009 and now it's under a year, the countdown has begun!

I desperately need to lose weight, and only when that's done will I start dress shopping!!

Current height and weight: 5'11/11 stone.

Would like to be under 10, and as I am typing this with a piece of carrot cake next to my computer, I can already see where I am going wrong!!

    Good luck all!

I ran to Tesco's to get stuff in for my healthy kickstart week which will consist of cabbage soup

It's been cooking for 2 hours and is all ready to go for work tomorrow :D

    The house stinks though

I sit and type this as OH is cooking our tea of rib eye steak, peppercorn sauce, mushrooms, onion rings and chips :o

i am so glad i dont live/work with you, you will be like a trumpet:rotfl:

I have just added my start weight to my target sheet.
I dont do any of these fad diets as i feel like i am on a diet where as replacing some things with better things but pretty much eating the same as i would helps.

I eat a lot of soup now , homemade is usually better for salt content but i am no good at making it! beware to check the calorie content as some tins are huge calories! all the tins give you calories for half a tin (who eats just half a tin:o)
drink water as often as you can as it helps you fell a bit fuller.

my biggest problem was the girls in work bringing cakes and stuff in so i bought the sweet snack a jacks which helps take the edge off.
For a snack cottage/soft cheese on a low fat dutch crispbread , you can get 2 of these for about 100 calories.

i eat a normal dinner every night within reason and normally slightly smaller portion just really watch what i am eating in the day.

    good luck everyone :T

    How has everyones day gone???

I nearly survived on fruit and soup but OH has just made some potato skins and I had to taste they weren't poison ;)

I have cooked all the veg I need for work tomorrow as tomorrow is veg and soup and a reward of jacket potato with butter :D for tea

I have to confess that eating veg for my breakfast doesn't appeal to me usually but it's a must tomorrow

I also have circuit training tomorrow :D

i made a bit of a mistake yesterday, i didnt eat enough during the day,and didnt eat enough dinner - so by 8pm was starving and had to eat, and by that time even eating healthy isnt good - and i wasnt that good! must remember that today.

Chelbel - dont do it! if you get on tomorrow and have put some of that back on it will make you feel rubbish! (but wow thats lot to loose!)

this is what my day was yesterday...

Dutch crisp bread with cottage cheese in the morning (10am)
2 dutch crips breads with cottage cheese plus a tin of soup for lunch(1pm)
    2 snack a jack caramel (4pm)
    mince & potatoes (7pm)

    total calories about 1100

i drank about 3pints of water during the day too and not once did i feel hungry.

i cant eat breakfast when i get up too busy with the kids and it usually makes me feel yuck eating so early.

The girl i am working with is doing the weigt watchers points thing which is good to count points but she also is starving all the time! rather than use her points on bulky things that will fill her she is having things like snack bars and stuff which just do not fill you up but take half your points away. I find with the way i do it i never feel hungry or never get to the stage where i could just eat anything.

Are you sure you are intaking enough calories???
That seems too little to me, you may loose in the beginning but surely youir body will start storing cos it's not getting enough

The trick with WW is eat as much veg you can fit onto your plate (becareful not to eat any that are points)

I lived off tomatoes and mushrooms on WW bread toasted which is 1 point per slice
