Ah the romance of a wedding - toilets and all! Glad you're feeling a bit better about everything Bails!
Just a note about the fabric - £2 per metre is great - you'd pay more than that for a plain cotton here and god knows how much for something voiley/silky! Easily up to and above £10 per metre. So if you love it go for it!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
I agree, the fabric is dirt cheap! Well done on the job too!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Hmm, so we're now not having the suit made out here  We took MiL yesterday, and again today (long story ) and it was a disaster. I had hoped it might be a nice thing to get her to help but it wasn't!
Anyhoo, I'm feeling a lot like this  sigh - OH is going to hire a suit just for the day he thinks. I don't know how much this costs so will need to research it. At least we are getting the waistcoats made for the ushers.
Remind me to keep making decisions just OH and me; other people's input could turn the whole thing into an endless nightmare
Off trekking for 2 weeks with the outlaws tomorrow  so I'll be back after Christmas, if we've all survivedThe 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

Hi everyone! Well, we're back in the UK temporarily (for a funeral sadly) so I'm hoping to use the time to get a few more things squared away. I had arranged to see the man about the land but need to rearrange that as we're stuck in Brighton because of the weather. Once I'm back in Somerset, I'll try and get a few things sorted, but before we do that we need to decide on a definite date! MiL thinks that getting married only a few weeks into a new teaching job may be difficult - she has a point but the other options have their own issues too. If we do the end of August it's not that long after we get home so will there be enough time to organise everything? and if we wait til October half term we won't be able to have a honeymoon. What do you think peeps - August bank hol, Sept 25th or Oct half term? Vote...NOW!The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

If you have a teaching job surely you couldnt have a honeymoon if you got married on the 25th either?
ETA: In fact August bank holiday is just before term starts so surely no honeymoon then either?!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I vote August - Better chance of a nice day - assuming all this b****y snow has melted by then!!0

The honeymoon would be in October for the August or September dates Dinah, and probably not for ages if we got married in October, if our family plans went wellThe 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

I'd say do it in September then, statistically its the least likely to rain, and it gives you a little more time to plan it, plus you'll definately get the honeymoon soon after.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
