Thanks guys, I appreciate it x I've been working on it for the past 6 weeks and TBH, my job is more important to me than the wedding or travelling  Time to refocus though...The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

I'm so excited about sending out our Save the Dates soon! Then it'll really feel like it's happening!:j It won't be til mid-week next week probably as we need to confirm the quote we choose and sign on the dotted line first
My bro has also found a possible site to put the tents on too, so another avenue to explore :T
We did have a chat about possibly delaying the wedding and starting our family first (for money and fertility reasons) but are back to the plan of getting married first.
I can't wait for marriage and kids; now I NEVER thought I'd hear myself say that :rotfl:The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

At the end of the day you're planning to get married pretty soon after you return from travelling, and you need some time to find a job and settle down again, hopefully you'll come back with a honeymoon bun in the oven!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

have you considered a campsite for the wedding? toilets would be in situ, the field suitable for erecting a large tent.0

Aww Bails sorry to hear about the job, all that work wasn't wasted though, as now you truly have your head back in things - it all counts.
Exciting about the save the date cards, what's your date?:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -
It was just a campsite Jen...I know, tell me about it
Thanks Lara. The date is 25th September 2010
Things are moving again here - we picked out some material for the waistcoats today. I don't love it but OH was happy with it - he's at the tailors now having one made up so we can see what it looks like and if we're not happy, we can get some different material.
We're also deliberating over some material to use as runners on the tables - it's £26 for 12.5m, is this cheap for England? It's a kind of voile with silk decoration if that helps, I know nowt about these things. It's not very cheap compared to the cost of living here but if it's more cost effective then we'll buy it.
The katas are almost booked, we just need to read through the T&Cs carefully and then print out the forms, sign them and scan them back to the company.
I've written the Save the Date email but won't send it out until we've confirmed the booking, just in case. Mum is sending me the rest of the email addresses and postal addresses for those that don't have them, so when I know how many that is I'll need to buy a batch of postcards to send out. I may wait to send them until after Christmas, in case they get lost in the UK post.
Just had another look at the budget and some things are coming down in little bits. Just my stationery budget I've had to put back up to allow for stamps, but got these with the 5% off from Morrisons - every little helps!
In other good news, if we need a generator (depending on the site) a family friend thinks he can get us one for the price of a donation to the carnival club (carnivals are HUGE where I come from) :T
All my bridesmaids have now been asked, and I've written them an email to introduce them and get them started on finding dress patterns and thinking of good hen do activities :rotfl:
At the moment I'm £3396 short of my budget, so not too bad and hopefully we'll be able to save this before the day with some skillful budgeting, and of course jobs :rotfl: Talking of which, I'm being offered one this week so hopefully the T&Cs will be good enough for me to accept (it's a short term position with a view to a longer term post on a much better salary).
So I'm pretty happy with things as they are. Off I go to research toilet blocks and see if I can't get a reasonable quote... ooh, the high life of Kathmandu! The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000
