Euro - I'm stuck but can you apply at a family members UK address maybe? Or have you transferred all your bills and correspondence over there? May be a daft suggestion :o which I why I never post on the scary main boards...lol

Thanks Andy. Unfortunately, I changed my bank address, CC address etc etc to my Dutch one. I did keep at as my parents address for a while but then they were moving and I didn't want them to have to deal with my post all the time (plus, my Mum has a habit of reading it 'cos it looked urgent/important'. Translation - she's nosy).

Someone did respond on the CC page in the end and confirmed my suspicion, that it wouldn't be possible. But it has got me thinking about the possibility of having a card here instead and transferring the money over here. I would gain a bit in currency conversion but the interest rate is almost half the Virgin card and still 5% less than the Halifax one.

There is also literature available in English. I read some yesterday but going to read it all properly this weekend. I think I will still have some questions, ie, is it possible to do a balance transfer from UK card to Dutch card etc so I will still discuss it with them before I apply.

My one concern with that though is, if I transfer the debt here, and then we move back in the next 12 months, I'll still have to continue paying the debt here etc. Not sure I want to create more work for myself like that. There's a lot to think about and figures to be played around with.

  • My PaD for today is just a 30p to the sealed pot. Got paid yesterday, and also finally got enough miles at Morrisons for a voucher so have £5. When I do my shopping will Pad that. Just means I have to shop in Morrisons and I always get lost as I don't know the layout and spend more than I intended because I go down the wrong aisle

    Morning all,
    Hope everyone is ok.
£10 please Gilli to my FF fund.
Just a little question ...can anyone steer me in the right direction to get a genuine pair of Uggs for DD? I have been looking on loads of sites and am at a loss at how to know whats genuine and whats not.
I know that there are some good copies, some that are rubbish copies and some that simply don't show! Any help or advice would be very welcome, Thanks!
    Have a great day!
