Hi All,
I was just wondering if any of you knew of any credit cards that are available to a non UK resident?
I'd like to transfer my cards to a 0% card, life of balance card or hell, just anything with an interest rate lower than 20%, but I don't think it's possible. All of the cards I have looked at require you to be a UK resident.
I raised the query in the Credit Cards thread also but no responses so far.

Hi All
I've just been having a quick catch up on reading this thread (not completely caught up yet, but getting there) and felt I had to post.
Flower: I just wanted to say my heart goes out to you. A school friend of mine was killed in a car accident at 19. So sad, such a waste. It is hard to find the right words so I hope you will accept some dodgy hugs. I know you will do your friend proud tomorrow. :grouphug:PigginSkint's debt free diary

I thought I'd lost my purse at the office this morning, and had my OH running around the house like 'Challenge Anneker' on the other end of the phone to find it  He did though, but it meant that I had to borrow £50 from petty cash to pay for my hair appointment today.
One thing...my haircut cost me £24, yet when i handed over the £30 I ended up squeaking 'Keep the change! Happy Christmas!' Now why is it that I always tip hairdressers an inordinate amount? Is it because I feel obliged after all the small talk? I mean, it is a nice cut, but not worth a 25% tip! Or is that about right? I have no idea of the protocol for hairdresser tips, obviously
*sigh* Ah well. £30 for a cut isn't that bad...right?
Anyhoo, i'll PAD my £2.02 change from my lunch to make amends. Sort of.
Have a good day peeps.
*meeps*
I sorted out my hairdresser a year ago. I spent £20 on a decent brand of clippers and give myself a number 1 with it every few weeks. That's about eight or nine haircuts for £20 + a tiny bit of electricity so far. I notice my hairdresser has since moved to smaller premises. Looks like I'm not the only one to cut back.0 -
Been on a bit of a downer today. Been thinking through the possibility of going BR and what it would mean for me. It would possibly mean giving up my mortgaged flat but I wonder if that would really be so terrible. The way things are at the moment I can manage. The bit that got my head going was reading of the possibility (probability??) of the IMF stepping in sometime in the next year and downgrading the UK's credit rating. That would mean high interest rates again. If interest rates rise appreciably, I'm stuffed anyway. There are other options before that but they are probably more hassle than BR.
I want to try drastically increasing my workload first in the new year and seeing where that takes me.0 -

Hi Paul
I wish I had some pearls of wisdom to offer you regarding BR, but sadly I don't
Would you consider posting your thoughts on the main DFW board? Then maybe people who are better qualified could give you their thoughts
To me that sounds like a awfully big, scary step (going BR), but I understand it's the only option for some....You have paid off a lot this year though, but I know it's been hard. Take care x0 -
:santa2: Hey Padders! Hope you're all well and feeling full of festive cheer! :santa2:
Some terrific PADS happening today :T Sadly, mine won't be one of them
I get paid in 8 days - and counting - but am expecting scratchcard money and Ebay earnings, so fingers crossed for tomorrow0 -
