Because bullies like to group together and pick on individuals who stand out in some way. I stand out because I have the courage to stand up to your bullying, just as I would do in real life. You do it because you're lazy and because you're stupid, and it saves you having to put up any kind of intelligent answer to the arguments I pose.
And also because you're cruel.
Luckily, I don't really mind. As I could fit the amount of respect I have for the lot of you (DD, 'stifler's mom' aka...who?, ISTL, etc etc) - on a pinhead, and still have loads of room to spare.
I was amused when the other day Jonny Bravo referred to some post he'd made 18 months aho, clearly expecting me to have a clue what the reference wa about. But I didn't. Because the stuff you say...I don't dwell on it, I don't remember it. You have as much reality as a cartoon character to me, chucky, a kind of real life Itchy and Scratchy or something. Buying a home for my family - now that's real to me. That matters.
But some jerk off an internet forum? Who gives a toss.
You give as good as you get young lady.
BTW. good luck with the house hunting.0 -
Ooh, young lady.
The law of unintended compliments at work there, I think.0 -
Oh here comes the lap dog, yea right. I noticed that chucky hasn`t come back with the accusations I have made. Not sure I made any. Also I don`t give a toss.
For the record I find it is amazing that folk like carolt, who clearly has decent earning power, finds that buying a home, is difficult. When I was a younger man, hard work would warranty that. I also find it rather distasteful that certain individuals come on here braying about their btls. Not sure if it`s a willy size problem or just scared that they might find themselves up a certain creek when we are forced back into a " real economy".
However, I am not one for throwing out insults, well Ms. Allsop excepted, I just feel that we have had a ponzi system, and we are now paying the price for . I am really astonished that in the last 6 decades I have lived through that this has happened or indeed to be allowed to happen.
One thing that I cannot get my head around is that the housing market has been the choice of investment for the last few years and pensions have crashed as have interest rates.
Well if things don`t improve in the next few years I might have to buy a couple of flats for cash. Would I be a bull? Maybe and at the same time hating it. Me , I like old style, pensions and all of that for retirement, not depriving others of the same thing.0 -
BTLs face a difficult year in 2010
There will be some BTL LLs who will have it tough in 2010. Those with fixed rate mortgages ending who cannot meet the LTV requirements will be stuck in SVR. To meet this cost they may be tempted to push up the rent or maybe they will sell up and cut their losses. Not good news for tenants.
My tenant is somewhat more secure. I don't expect 2010 to be a difficult year.
GGThere are 10 types of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those that don't.0 -

I'm in the same boat, this and next year are likely to be my most profitable years as a landlord in 30 years (from 1991 to a probable 2021 ish). Which is somewhat ironic being in the middle of a bad recession (obviously we are probably near the end of the 'technical' definition of a recession, but nowhere near the end of economic problems). Just as well there is a silver lining otherwise this recession would be quite depressing.
I agree there will be some LL's who have problems but I don't think it will be many when expressed as a percentage of the whole mortgage market, far less than 1% IMO.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -
Oh sorry, yes I did say bully boy. You and others in the past have made repeated shows at laying into or deriding carolt. " tiny little obsessions with female posters ". Chucky. You are one sick puppy.0
