    IT'S WORKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (granted it took 90 mins for a 30 min video)

    Dvdflick and copying the file to my desktop seems to have done the trick. Thank you all so very much for your help and putting up with my lack of knowledge. I really appreciate it.
