I haven't had a chance to pick up new disks today but when I tried to burn some data files to one of he 4x dvd-r's that I've been using I'm getting a message saying that the disk speed is not compatable with my drive. Could this be the reason for my problems? Also could I change the speed of the drive as I have about 100 of these disks lying around. I could always give them to the kids as frisbeesI would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Ramada/Days Inn BRG thread.0

It is very difficult to help when information (like what speed it says on the drive) is missing...reduce the speed you burn down to minimum should work. Most drives do 4x. Maybe the discs are faulty?
Why buy so many discs that you aren't sure work well ?

The discs are 4x speed. Drive is 8x. I advised setting a lower speed wirthin the software, but I don't know if it was carried and what was the result.0 -
Because they were cheap about 4 years ago and I am terrible for buying things on the net that look a good idea at the time.
One idea I did think of was if I could even get the files to burn as data files I could put one of my laptops up stairs, play the disk through that and and run a cable to the tvI would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Ramada/Days Inn BRG thread.0 -

did you move the files?0 -
did you move the files?
No, I knew I missed something. Should I just copy them from my external and paste them to my desktop then try to burn from there?
I've copied a file that is only 300mb. I'll try this with dvd flick but it may take a whileI would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Ramada/Days Inn BRG thread.0 -
It's doing something on ImgBurn now which is a step further than before. I also ticked a box with something about an ISO, no idea what it is/does but thought I may aswell try a few thingsI would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Ramada/Days Inn BRG thread.0

Well, it went through all the process etc but the disk was still blank. However, when I had a look at where it had saved the files there was a huge one (ISO) with an NTI cd&dvd maker icon which seems to be the default one for my laptop as it always pops up. Going through that now to see if I have any joyI would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Ramada/Days Inn BRG thread.0
