Had a really pants day today. Got some very sad news about a friend who has lost a baby quite late on
Plus the payrise I was promised failed to materialise. I did get a percentage, but it was not inline with what was previously discussed against the performance I have delivered (that they are very happy with incidentally).....
I (stupidly) had plans for it, to repay debt and do some bits to finish off the house before we move on. Am mad at myself for allowing such expectations.
Bought lunch, so spent about £2.50. Raced home, got stuck on motorway on the way to pick up the girls. One has been crying all evening for no reason the other blatantly ignoring simple requests which then escalate into me getting really cross and her shouting that everyone hates her *sigh*
Tonight, I think I will drink a bottle of wine, cry and go to bed. Hope your day was better if you're reading x0 -

Sorry to read about your friend - that is always so tough, to lose a baby early on is hard enough, but late in the pregnancy, well that is something I couldn't even begin to imagine
And pah to the payrise - that stinks :mad:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Thanks Hun, just been reading your diary. Sorry things are flat with you too
Money isn't everything and TBH it feels quite a petty thing to be bothered about in the grand scheme of things.
Hope you feel better soon xx
Ps aren't Jaffa Cakes 1 point each?0 -
Hi ya Mac. Sorry you've had such a carp day. I frequently make plans for money i always end up not getting. It's so disappointing isn't it?
Tomorrow's another day and it's Friday which is even better. Have you anything planned for the weekend? xOne step at a time0 -

Thanks all - today is a new day. Still feel a bit flat but life goes on and the Sun is shining
This weekend, we're going to tackle some jobs in the house. I'm going to arrange for a couple of agents to assess the rental value so we can plan for later in the year.
The rest of my junk will be listed on Ebay this weekend and then I'll get to grips with IMD's spreadsheet. I also am planning a couple of runs :A
35p won on scratches. Right off to sort out the girls for school.
Hope you all have a good day x0 -
Have a good day, and you are right, we need to look ahead. I look forward to reading all about your plans over the weekend xSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

Went out with my Mum and little DD to a shopping centre today. I ended up carrying DD's coat and draped it over my bag whilst I was trying on clothes
(yes, I did buy the odd reduced morsel with my invisible bonus
cheered me up a treat though
) - then I was horrified to find I'd lost the bl00dy coat when I got back to the car
I went back in and re-traced my steps but no coat - was like looking for a needle in a haystack anyway  I've just phoned them but no coat
Really hoping that someone of integrity has handed it in. Especially as I found a Mac laptop in a changing room and handed that in today - so I'm due some good Karma I think..................... fingers crossed.0 -
Oh no, how annoying! Hopefully someone will hand it in, I would!
