Yep, it's the only thing I like to do that isn't expensive or makes me put weight on!
So I'm sticking with it :)

Good Morning, last night I had the most sleep I think I've had in about 7 years - 10 hours! :j

So I feel full of beans this morning and very determined that March will be a fabby MSE month!

We have planned to take the kids away in May - they want to go to Center Parcs, but my parents have a place in Spain, so we're trying to take the cheapest option.
Plus, DH and I are going to go to Rome for 3 nights (on our own :j) for my 40th in August.

So I want to pay for those out of our joint pot. It should be doable, but I need to tackle the grocery budget and curb the "days out" spends.

It's my pay review coming up, plus DH is reviewing his (self-employed) salary this month, so fingers crossed there may be a bit more to play with......
  • Brilliant news on the sleeping - how nice, I don't think I could cope with 10 years of bad sleep. I was a terrible mother and resorted to Medised in bad times with children, I slept through all their crying :rotfl:

Nice to have a plan for a holiday, must admit it's one of those things that will kill me this year, no summer holiday but as is life I suppose. Have you been to Rome before? I went a couple of years ago and loved it, would love to go back! Good to have something to aim for, maybe I should plan my 40th......

Hope March is a good MSE month - will email spreadsheet over as soon as

There's no rush, so anytime will be fine thanks :A

No never been to Rome, but it's somewhere I've always wanted to go. I have travelled a lot with work and have been to Florence many times - which I love, so Rome without kids is next on my hit list!

We have gone without hols over the last few years, so although it's not very good on a DFW front, I will find a way to earn extra to cover it all.

Think I'm going to take a leaf out of your book and start buying and selling on Ebay. I've been inspired by a few other diaries and the Ebay challenge thread.

Onward and downwards to the debt!

10 hours :eek::eek: Good for you (jealous? Moi? Of course not!)

Rome also sounds fab - I would love to go to Italy and do some sort of tour for a week, followed by a week recovering on a beach :D One day......one day......

You sound so positive today! If that is a sign of how March is going to be then bring it on!!

  • Morning mac

well done on the weight loss and still running.

Good to have something to aim for and if you can sort of get it at neutral because of Ebay Amazon etc. then all the better.
Sleep (?) marvellous invention apparently - can you buy it anywhere?
I have no problem getting to sleep, but ping awake and then can't get back to sleep, so spent last night reading diaries, and finding peoples web pages and reading them. So hypno got a few hits, so did nyk off the frugal board and quite a few others.

Yesterday started off ok here, so walked to the shops, but then it hissed down. Snow etc. always manages to miss us out, not sure if thats a good thing or not.

Do you know what Hypno - sleep is what has made the difference. I know it's been a problem for you for a long time and I do feel sorry for you. :(

Mine was baby induced and at times I felt total despair, as there was no end to it. I can see why sleep deprivation is used as a form of torture - because it is!

Nowadays, little DD does sleep through every night (after 3 years I should think so), but I'm like you Gill. I fall asleep fine, then it only takes the smallest noise to wake me, then I can be awake for hours with my head buzzing - which sounds like your problem Hypno....

My Mum only sleeps about 4 hours a night and has tried everything except sleeping pills. So yes, the 10 hours was fab :D

Thanks for the spreadsheet IMD, I'll peruse later.

Just made Rock Buns with the kids - wonder how many cals they are :o Off to Nutracheck them and then going swimming.

Have a good day all :)
