The snow is melting fast, so should be gone soon!
We took the kids Ten Pin Bowling this afternoon. It was great fun! We've had a very cheap half term, so could afford to go out today. I even found some form and managed a few strikes :j
Just about to tackle the ironing whilst DH makes the dinner, then I have to post off my Passport application, Mortgage application and new savings account that I opened to get £50 cashback from Quidco and M&S vouchers(let's hope it tracks
). That will be used to try and build up some emergency savings.
Hope you've had a good day if you're reading - off for a quick catch up!0 -
Ooooh Macgirl....what savings account did you open thro' Quidco? (Probably A+L which I've done before;))
Sounds like a lovely Sunday....and you've just reminded me I need to dig out the ironing board (might haave to brush the dust off first:rotfl:). SHame I don't have the OH to cook my dinner;) Mind you, DD2 and I have made Jamie O's Minced Beef Wellington and an apple crumble.....so not all bad....I just need a lie down now:pI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Hi Milly - yep I must admit to a little lie down after my own apple pie and custard!
The savings account is with Scottish Friendly. It was quite a few weeks ago, I'd forgotten I'd applied for it - hope it's still on there0 -

I had a look but it looks like you have to pay into it each month? Min £25? I wasn't thinking quite that much:rotfl::rotfl:I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Hello :hello:
Another Monday survived! Nothing to report moneywise. I committed MSE Crime No:1 today and bought my breakfast AND lunch  so spent £3.20
I decided to save money and miss yoga and haven't been running due to a lack of contact lenses. BUT I have dug out a Pilates DVD (that I have never done) and my Davina DVD (that DD1 is currently doing :rotfl:), so WILL exercise this evening :A
I've also realised today, that in addition to not having a Will - which I keep putting off due to cost.....All our important documents are all over the house and only I know what insurances etc we have.
So on Thursday I have a rare day off - ALL TO MYSELF :j, so I'm going to gather all that info and find a safe place for it.
Hope you've had a good day if you're reading!0 -
£3.20 for both is pretty good tho, so not too sinful.
Enjoy you lovely thursday.LBM Total: £33356 15/11/09  £6085.63 paid

Just by organising that paperwork you will have achieved a huge amount. I did a similar thing a few years ago - bought a load of those plastic wallets and a large ring binder and gathered all insurances etc together and put them in the file. It certainly made things a lot easier!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. £3.20 is fairly reasonable for breakfast and lunch so it's not horrendous!
Re the organisation, I am rather pathetic and love filing and have a nice folder with everything in. Know it's completely morbid and OH thinks I'm bad but if anything happened to me he wouldn't know where to find anything!1st debt - Next [STRIKE]£583.32[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£408.71 [/STRIKE] £0 :j

Yes, that's the true morbid reason really.
Yesterday DD1 was moaning that she didn't want to go back to school (she's 5 - get over it Sunshine ). She started spelling out a sentence
"m u m?"
Yeeeeees
"i d o n t w a n t.."
I know you don't want to go to school, but you have to x/y/z or Mummy will end up in prison.
"No Mum, listen...i d o n t w a n t y o u t o d i e":(:(
So that was the happy little reminder! It was like a stab to my heart, so I need to get my affairs up to date.0
